The AO will identify and enable the eligible NGEs to make use of unutilised ITU Filing. The idea is to coordinate using orbital slots and frequencies to avoid satellite interference. For the present AO, the ITU filed, ‘INSAT-KA89ER’, has sought uplink frequencies of 21 GHz to 31 GHz and downlink frequencies of 17.7 GHz to 21.2 GHz. #telecommunications #satellite #frequencies #space #agency

Did you know that NEC has contributed to LUCAS, the inter-satellite optical communication system being developed by JAXA? 🛰 LUCAS, which stands for Laser Utilizing Communication System, is a system that links and controls earth observation satellites and optical data relay satellites from the ground. NEC has made numerous contributions to this project, including the design, development, and verification of LUCAS’ optical communication system. Project leader Hiroaki Miyoshi attributes their success in navigating uncharted territory during system design and verification to NEC’s strong technological and human resource capabilities.
