Maybe we should just ramp up production and sell more dual-use strategic materials at bargain basement prices ? How else are we going to be able to afford to pay for all our new Defence equipment…that we need to protect ourselves from the unprecedented regional military build up, fueled by our sale of dual-use strategic materials ?
With iron ore prices tumbling faster than expected, should Australia's mining state be worried?

Exciting developments in North American resource security! 🌍 The U.S. funding Canadian mining projects for critical minerals marks a strategic shift to enhance supply chain resilience and reduce dependency on foreign sources. This historic move underscores a joint effort to bolster national security and strengthen regional control of vital resources. 💎🇺🇸🇨🇦 #ResourceSecurity #USCanadaPartnership
The U.S. military has, for the first time in generations, spent public money on minerals projects inside Canada: nearly $15 million to mine and process copper, gold, graphite and cobalt in Quebec and the Northwest Territories. It might not be the last: Officials expect additional cross-border announcements under the more than half-billion-dollar U.S. program (U.S. Defense Production Act). Barrick Gold Corp. ABX-T ⬇️-0.16% is facing mounting pressure in Mali as the country’s military regime seeks to boost its control of the multibillion-dollar mining sector at a time of growing Russian influence over its economy. The Malian government is closely allied with the Russian military, which provides thousands of soldiers to several countries in the region. Russian troops have been heavily involved in seizing mining sites in Mali and the Central African Republic in recent years, and the U.S. government has accused Russia of using African mining revenue to help finance its global military operations. https://lnkd.in/emgwzz5u
