For anyone seeking to be a great leader (with or without the title), and for those in position to hire leaders, this is a must-watch. Avoid the action fallacy: those who seem like the prototype of a great leader by always appearing busy, but who actually create or always seek a crisis to be managed. Look for and promote the "boring leaders": those who are calmly leading their teams and supporting the organization through planning and patience, who create an atmosphere for success through communication and trust, and who develop other leaders.

We often experience a cycle of bottlenecking in our roles as leaders. First, as you learn the ropes or undergo a big change, you are the bottleneck. As you (hopefully) improve personally, you help your organization stop being a bottleneck. Then, the really great leaders don't just sit back and be pleased with themselves. They start hunting down other bottlenecks and try to apply their and their organization's capabilities to solve those as well.
