Estimates suggest that Indian families might spend as much as 25% of their total wedding budget on gold and jewelry. If the Ambanis splurged 5000 crores, 25% of it would result in Rs. 1250 crores. C’mon, it’s a hard pill to swallow—how can they really spend a thousand crores on just their outfits and jewelry? But, we cannot underestimate these. 1. Nita Ambani’s famous diamond-emerald necklace alone costs 400-500 crores. 2. Counting in Anant’s Patek Philippe 67.5 crore watch, their outfits must have cost some 200-300 crores. 3. Additionally, they gifted 2 crore watches to a few celebrities. There’s more to the list if we count in the other family members' jewelry and the bride’s outfit!
