Morning musings..... What is customer satisfaction? One of the definitions could be, Delivering to the customer the right product or service of the right quality, at the right time, in right place, in safe and secure manner, right? As the individual employees working in the company, do we need to go outside to seek the customer to satisfy him or her? No. Every business has a series of customer-supplier relationship within the organization, which is called the internal customer-supplier chain. We can create exemplary customer satisfaction within our own companies. Look for the colleague to whom we are giving services within the company. Just understand what he or she needs from us to perform his or her job better, deliver that, and we have created a miracle in customer satisfaction. A company that has a system to consistently achieve high internal customer satisfaction, delivers to its final custmer better than the cyclist husband in the video does. How? The 70% Customer Rule One of the most impactful lessons I’ve learned in my career is this: keep 70% of your team’s focus on the customer. It’s simple but powerful. Here’s how you can apply it: - In team meetings, spend 70% of the time discussing the customer—how to improve their experience, enhance their journey, and delight them. - During everyday conversations, ensure 70% revolves around the customer’s satisfaction. Why? Because when a team is fully aligned with customer satisfaction, everything else starts to fall into place: - The cleaner instinctively knows to maintain spotless floors and greet customers with a smile. - The production team delivers higher quality. - The admin team becomes more effective. - The delivery team ensures every interaction exceeds expectations. It’s about shifting focus away from just pleasing the boss to truly understanding and serving the customer. For example, instead of saying, “Why are you late?” ask, *“How would a customer feel if they arrived to find us unprepared?”* When you consistently train your team to think through the customer’s eyes, they will: - Take ownership of customer satisfaction. - Actively find ways to delight customers. - Bring a customer-first mindset into every task. This speaks of how your employees treat your customer 🔹You must understand your customer. Listen to their emotions when talking to you 🔹Send out Customer’s satisfactory questionnaire. If any complaints, find out what is causing the complaint and use it for improvement.
