When my grandmother asked me what motivates me the most at work, I found myself struggling to answer. 🤔 Not because I lack self-awareness, but because I wondered how to explain the experience of working in a fast-growing IT company such as Hostinger to her. Do you know what it’s like to work at Hostinger International? It’s about facing challenges that push the boundaries of your abilities, fostering your personal and professional growth. 🚀 It’s about collaborating with incredibly smart people who are always eager to learn and challenge the norm. 💫 It’s about having a seat at the table, where your insights and feedback are not only welcomed but valued. It’s about striving for success and celebrating milestones. 🎊 And you know what? We are currently looking for People Ops, and the best way to be a part of such an environment is simply to apply! 🎈 https://lnkd.in/eJ_7aEAW

Being the oldest in the company has its perks. It brings a sense of calm. A maturity that only comes with time. And the ability to step back and see the bigger picture. But it’s not a one-way street. Working with a younger team is just as rewarding. They bring energy, creativity, and fresh perspectives. And there’s so much to learn from that. Age isn’t a barrier, it’s an advantage. It teaches you how to handle challenges without overreacting. To raise concerns calmly. To listen, reflect, and act. You don’t have to shout the loudest to make an impact. And that’s something I try to bring to the workplace every day. It’s about balance. Blending experience with innovation. Learning from each other. Because when different generations work together, the results are powerful.

Belonging: Team Loyalty and Change There’s something about teams and benefits—you can’t claim to be part of a team without being included in its benefits structure. The benefits you receive are what give you that sense of belonging to the team. This goes beyond merely being part of the team; it extends to the respect you receive from fellow members. When you're the member who is constantly undervalued, the moment you find an opportunity to join another team, you move without hesitation. That’s why many employees leave their jobs for other opportunities, and why people leave their countries in search of greener pastures. It’s always about finding that sense of belonging. If things were working where you live or work, there would be little need to move.

In a world where first impressions are everything, why continue using conventional job descriptions when you have the opportunity to offer potential candidates a vibrant glimpse into your organization? Give potential candidates the possibility to walk into their future work space, while getting to know their future teammates, providing them behind the scenes, and sharing unique stories and (fun) did-you-knows that make the company what it is. This strategy not only fosters connections with potential team members but also smooths the path they may face when considering a move to your team.

Managers: stop referring to your team as a family. Here are 3 things to do instead. ❌ It’s not a family when you have to get rid of someone. ❌ Family dynamics are patronising in a team. (Are they the kids?) ❌ A ‘family’ could imply unreasonable requests. INSTEAD, build a close-knit, high-performing crew, who have each other’s backs with these 3 steps: 1️⃣ Have a shared purpose - that’s bigger than the day job. 2️⃣ Have high expectations of the people you recruit. 3️⃣ Embrace the temporary. Make it the best few years of everyone’s career. Lead your team with love. Just don’t pretend to be their mother. 🤣🤣 - - - - - - - - - - ❓ Do you agree / disagree? 👇🏼 Let me know in the comments!

Through my work, I have learned that being a strong team player is not just about completing tasks, but about building trust, connecting with others, and working toward common goals. By working together, we can creatively solve problems and grow together as a team. I know some people might think that they can accomplish more on their own without collborating in a team but, this won’t be useful for you personal development. Being a team player means listening to and supporting my colleagues and contributing to a positive, results-oriented environment. These relationships make teamwork effective and drive both individual and corporate success.

🌟 The Power of a Caring Team 🌟 There’s something truly special about working in a team where care and support aren’t just buzzwords but a way of life. It’s in the way colleagues check in with one another, offer encouragement during challenges, and celebrate successes as a shared victory. When you’re part of a team like this, it’s not just about hitting targets or meeting deadlines—it’s about building a workplace that feels like a second home. At Quest Employment we believe that success is built on a foundation of trust, empathy, and collaboration. When we uplift each other, we elevate the entire team—and that’s how we achieve greatness together. To everyone out there who’s fortunate enough to work with a team that genuinely cares: cherish it, nurture it, and continue spreading that positive energy. And if you’re searching for such a culture, it is out there. Thank you to my fellow Regional Sales Manager Laura Richards for this scrummy little chocolate treat when I was having a bit of a erghhh day! A little bit of chocolate perks everyone up! 🍫 💬 What’s one thing you love most about your team?
