🌟 Something New and Exciting is Beginning! 🌟 I am proud and excited to introduce Co2Offset - the new startup I co-founded with my new partners: Ophir, Yossi, and Effi. My special connection with Ophir Fromm began about a year and a half ago when I mentored him through the innovation center at Kinneret College. Together, we went through a successful mentoring process that turned the idea of CO2ffset into reality. So, what is CO2ffset? CO2ffset is designed to give farmers who practice regenerative agriculture access to carbon trading markets, providing them with an additional source of income through carbon sequestration in the soil. This allows farmers to continue promoting environmentally friendly agriculture while achieving profitability. What's next? After months of hard work, we are now launching our first pilot in Israel and are looking for partners - farmers and landowners who are interested in joining this revolution. 📢 Want to learn more? Keith Savin PhD from Data Biome is one of the 9 participants in the fourth cohort of our Victorian AgTech Seeds program which is supporting the creation of early-stage Agtech startups by bringing together aspiring Agtech entrepreneurs and researchers creating technology for the Victorian agriculture sector and beyond. Data Biome is developing a probiotic for cows that will reduce their methane output by slightly altering their digestion metabolism, utilising bacterial species naturally found in the rumen of cows. Initially, the customers will be dairy farmers wanting to reduce their on-farm greenhouse gas emissions.
