An impeller is a rotating part of a centrifugal pump, a compressor, or other machine designed to move a fluid by rotation. Impellers get heavily corroded due to service conditions. They are typically subject to erosion-corrosion, and cavitation. With the right protective material, impellers can provide a long-term service. In the next 2 minutes we will demonstrate how you can extend the life of an impeller with Belzona 1341 – an epoxy-based coating for the erosion #corrosionprotection of pumps and impellers. How-to guidelines: First, if the repair area is contaminated, pressure wash the surface and use a salt removal solution to wash away all contaminants. Then, use an angular grit abrasive and blast the surface to a near white metal finish at a minimum 3 mils profile. Once the surface is fully prepared, use the Manufacturer’s Instructions for Use to carry out the application. Mix Belzona 1341 at the ratio of 1-part Base to 1-part Solidifier by volume. Apply an even coat at the specified thickness, using a stiff bristled brush working the material well into the surface. Allow to cure until touch dry before applying a second coat. Consult with the manufacturer’s Instructions for Use for the recommended overcoat window. Mix additional material in a different color and apply an even coat making sure that the 1st coat is well covered. The protection of an impeller with Belzona 1341 is now complete! Belzona 5813 Spray Application An airless sprayer was stall-out tested and readied for spraying before any mixing took place. The surface of the steel panels was dry blasted to the requirements of SSPC SP 10 prior to application. All concrete surfaces were cleaned and abraded before the application. Prior to the application, all materials needed to mix Belzona 5813 were prepared. The base component was mixed to reincorporate any settlement and poured it into a separate, bigger container. Belzona 5813 solidifier was then added. A total of 8 L of Belzona 5813 were mixed to ensure there was sufficient product for the spray application. Once product temperature and pressure were adequate for proper atomization, spraying operations started. 50% overlap spray was used to achieve uniform coverage. A second coat of Belzona 5813 was applied once the 1st coat was stable and within the product's overcoat window. One of our #hotel sector clients were experiencing #pipeleaks and needed a solution. They had given us a call asking us for a meeting session at their office. During the meeting, we discussed about the leakage problem and completed the site visits. The water HDP pipes on the 43rd, 44th, and 47th floors were leaking. We then returned to the site with the installation team to inspect and gather more information of the pipes. Due to our technical expertise and with the guidance of our principals in Houston, we had come up with a solution to the clients leakage issues: 10 pieces of #Stopit #AP 125 Adhesion Promotor Paste and 10 boxes of Stop it #piperepairkits for the overall project. Adhesion promoter is a two-part acrylic-based adhesive (1:1 volume ratio) that bonds low surface energy polymers of polypropylene, polyethylene, and TPOs It strengthens the bond between STOP IT® resin and pipes. On top of that, the STOP IT® Pipe Repair System repairs #cracks and #leaks in the pipe. It uses a knitted fiberglass tape coated with water-activated urethane resins that transform from a wet adhesive tape to a hard plastic in 30 minutes. We submitted our proposal to the client, and after receiving the purchase order, we successfully began the project and completed it in one week. We had to give a downtime to the system as the water in the pipe were flowing at high pressures. The installation process began with thorough surface preparation, followed by the application of Ap paste to the leaking surface. Following this, we apply the stop it pipe repair system. The putty is perforated, wet with the tape, and securely wrapped around the pipe. Similarly, we followed the same method for the other leaking pipes. As a result, the leaks were contained, and the client restarted the operation. The customer was delighted with the product and our services. #pipeleaksealingindubai #pipeleaksealinginuae #mechanicalreinforcementforpipesindubai #mechanicalreinforcementforpipesinuae #pipewearresistancesolutionsindubai #pipewearresistancesolutionsinuae #pipechemicalresistancesolutionsindubai #pipechemicalresistancesolutionsinuae #corrosioncontrolforpipesindubai #corrosioncontrolforpipesinuae

Installation GCP ductile iron pipes are supplied with a standard rubber ring spigot and socket joint, which can be easily assembled by pushing the pipe spigot into the socket. It is normal practice to string the pipes so that they can be laid by starting from the down stream end with the socket end facing in the upstream direction. Installation Guideline 1- Remove all dust, dirt or soil from the pipe spigot and socket. Ensure the ring seat in the socket is completely clean. 2- Ensure the ring is also completely clean. If the ring is damaged in any way it should be rejected and replaced with another ring 3- Introduce the ring into the socket by looping it into a ‘heart’ shape. The ring should be correctly seated in the socket. 4- Apply even radial pressure around the circumference to ensure the ring sits correctly in place. 5- Lubricate the spigot with an approved pipe lubricant up to the witness mark. Ensure the pipe lubricant is also applied to the pipe chamfer and exposed surface of the assembled ring in the socket. Note: Do not apply any lubricant in the socket grooves or underneath the ring and ensure the lubricated spigot does not pick up dirt, soil or contamination when introducing the spigot into the socket. 6-Insert the leading edge of the pipe spigot into the socket mouth. It is essential that the pipes be aligned in a straight line before attempting to make the joint. Ensure the poly sleeving is clear of the socket face, if fitted. 7-Jointing equipment should apply load steadily and evenly around the socket. Ensure the jointing force is applied to a suitable timber bolster. 8- Apply even jointing force and push home until the witness mark is just visible. www.gcpipes.com #pipes #pipesegypt
