#weekap New year's resolutions and why I think they are not a sufficient concept.   In the business world we are often faced with plans and sometimes it feels like we plan more than actually act. This leads to a delay in production and with that a #timetomarket. While in the #agile world, just as at Swiss Life Deutschland, we aim to reduce these delays, still days are circling around plannings and meet ups to figure out the next steps and how to walk them. These iterative processes have the goal to collaborate sooner with your stakeholders and to constantly check if we build the right things and replan them if necessary.   On a private level I notice in my environment only does that at the end of the year. When days get shorter, the weather get's colder and the mood is being in need for a holiday, many people retrospect on the past year just then. What went well, what didn't go well? For the beginning of the year they make a promise to themselves that with the beginning of the new year things will change.   But life is a constant #inspection and #adaption. Every action taken may be analyzed, improved and build on and we can do it daily. So when I consider something needs to change, why not start now instead of waiting for a date in your calendar? To check if we are on the right track and build our future the best way possible can't rely on certain dates. Cause the most important stakeholder for our lives are we, ourselves! And as one of my personal priorities, making others happy, makes me happy. To appreciate my loved ones, besides from words, I like to use actions and sometimes it's by making a little present, for example #flowers Special dates like birthdays or christmas are most obvious to do so, but whenever I feel I want to create happiness around me, I don't hesitate to do that right on time, instead of waiting for a calendar to tell me. When was the last time you listened to your inner needs and just did what you felt?

But as we journeyed on, we discovered a growing need that couldn’t be ignored—companies were reaching out to us for help in organizing team retreats in Asia, looking to amp up their company culture and team spirit. Fast forward to Q4 2023: We hit breakeven, a big shoutout to our team for this milestone! 🎉 It was a wake-up call. After loads of coffee and countless chats with my co-founder Magnus, we made a bold move at the start of 2024. We switched gears to focus solely on B2B, helping companies plan awesome Team Retreats 🌴 Guess what? It’s working like a charm! We're now zooming ahead, improving our processes with our tech, boosting service quality, and expanding our network of partners to make sure our marketplace covers every need of our clients - and that every retreat is a hit. This pivot taught us the power of staying flexible and really listening to what the market wants.
