A topic which to date has limited research. Really interested to learn about the impact of being neurodivergent and the menopause journey.
Menopause and Neurodiversity: How Does It Impact Women in the Workplace? Join us on 15th October at 12pm for a webinar hosted by Samantha Alexander, UK Country Officer and COO at DWS and Dr Judith Mohring, organisational Psychiatrist to dive into the link between menopause, perimenopause, and neurodiversity. Menopause affects 51% of the population, having an impact on both physical and mental health: 1 in 6 women become depressed during this time. Perimenopause is the time before menopause, it averages a five-year span from 46-51 and often coincides with sandwich generation pressures at home and career seniority pressures at work. Menopause occurs on average around the age of 51. Nature has created her own glass ceiling. To date, research has focused on the link between oestrogen and brain health, particularly on dopamine and serotonin levels. More recently, research to understand the link between menopause and neurodiversity has begun. Find out how we can better support female talent in the workplace.
