In their magazine the VDMA showcases companies that grow through change. And we’ve been named as an example how companies can stay local and still act with a view to the future. "MainChange is not only an investment project, but also an innovation project; it affects practically all areas of our value chain," explains our CEO Andreas Widl in the article. At the new location, energy demand will be reduced by a third and renewable energies will be used. "In the future, we want to increase this degree of self-sufficiency, for example by adding a solar field or expanding storage capacities," says project manager Sven Donner. Energy Storage Systems of Type C (equal to or exceeding 25MW) face more stringent grid requirements compared to Type B (less than 25MW) and Type A (less than 1MW), across various critical aspects such as frequency stability and active power management, voltage control, system restoration, and reactive power capabilities.
