PEM® CASTSERT® Press-in Inserts For Die-cast Alloys and soft metals Less Than HRB 70 / HB 125 PEM® 300 Series Stainless Steel CASTSERT® inserts provide strong, durable metal threads in extruded aluminum and die-cast magnesium and die-cast aluminum. The overall, simple press-in, installation process for these inserts uses a flat punch and anvil to install all sizes and lengths, approximately 80% faster than other methods. Depth of knurl allows engagement with as-cast draft angle holes, or drilled holes. Process cost savings vs. coil inserts or thread tapping. Pull-out performance varies based on panel material, length of engagement and draft angle. Available in thread sizes #2-56 to 1/4-20 / M2.5 to M6 in two lengths per thread size. Installed by simply pressing the inserts into drilled or as-cast holes. Installation is accomplished using any standard press at any time during the production process.

Lets get technical: 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜. 🌟 Pressure die casting injects molten metal into a steel mould at high velocity and pressure, solidifying rapidly to efficiently form metal products. This method has evolved into a global industry, creating various components for essential applications. Its advantages include rapid production of intricate castings, consistent dimensions, excellent surface finish, and precise linear tolerance. Two other types of die casting are 𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 and 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿. Hot chamber pressure die casting involves melting metal ingots within a furnace integral to the die casting machine, injecting molten metal directly into the die tool. In contrast, cold chamber die casting pours molten metal into a separate cold chamber attached to the die tool's fixed half! 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲. 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲. 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗸𝗲𝘆. That is how we would describe the precision grinding machine. The 81 series can grind titanium, molybdenum, stainless steel, nicken/aluminium alloys, carbon steel and other metals to a predetermined thickness. It is: 💡 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, because this machine is built according to the customer's requirements. Therefore, each precision grinding machine is different. 👌 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲, because it removes material with a precision of 0.02 mm. This is possible for sheets and plates with a thickness of 0.25 mm up to 100 mm. ☑️ 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗸𝗲𝘆, because we offer a complete installation with handling solutions. Think about roller tables, pick and place systems, turnover units, filter units, and so on. Cold Chamber Die Casting: In this type of die casting, the molten metal is injected into the mould cavity using a cold-chamber machine. This machine is typically used to cast metals with high melting points, such as aluminium. The main advantage of cold chamber die casting is that it can be used with various metals and reduces machine corrosion. Hot Chamber Die Casting: Hot chamber die casting is the most popular method and is relatively faster than cold chamber die casting. A hot-chamber machine is used to perform this process in hot chamber die casting. This machine generally uses metals with a lower melting point, such as zinc. #DieCasting #TypesOfDieCasting #ColdChambers #HotChambers #MachineCorrosion #MachineManufacturing #Axionray

Coating of screw taps: TiN (Titanium Nitride) A screw tap coated with titanium nitride is identified by its gold-yellow color, and has the characteristics of high hardness, high bonding strength and high toughness. The TiN coating is a general-purpose coating, mainly used for soft to tough-hard steels, cast iron, and many non-ferrous metals. Vap: Vaporizing is a steam treatment that triggers a chemical reaction on the tap's surface. This process creates a crystalline iron oxide layer, reducing the sliding resistance and also decreasing direct friction between the screw tap and workpiece. Moreover, lubricants adhere better to vaporized surfaces. Prevents adhesion between the tap and the cut material. Mainly used in tapping long-chip materials that are easy to adhere, such as stainless steel, low carbon steel, and nickel-chromium steel. TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) The titanium carbonitride layer is very hard and tough, showing its strengths primarily under high mechanical stress. A TiCN-coated screw tap is gray-violet. Classic applications for this coating are high-strength steels and abrasive materials. Additionally, TiCN has a high resistance to impact stress, making it ideal for interrupted cuts. Its only weakness is its low heat resistance, so adequate cooling is crucial with TiCN-coated taps. Suitable for aluminum alloys, steel, stainless steel and High temperature alloys. TiAIN (Titanium Aluminum Nitride) The TiAIN tap coating is black-violet. The high chemical stability and heat resistance make this coating particularly suitable for applications with high temperature stress and limited cooling options. This makes it ideal for high cutting speeds of over 60 m/min and for abrasive and hard-to-machine materials. Suitable for steel, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys and plastics. #tap #Hsstap #screwtap #vap #tin #ticn #tiain #coated
