New CCS partnership to connect ports, pipelines and platforms 🚢 CCS is a bridge to the climate solutions of the future. And Denmark's underground is an ideal place to store captured CO₂. But if we are to reduce emissions and achieve the Danish and global climate goals, it is crucial that an infrastructure is developed to transport the CO₂ to storage sites on the necessary scale. Therefore, TotalEnergies, ADP - Associated Danish Ports A/S and Evida have today shook hands to investigate the possibility of developing solutions that can transport captured CO₂ via pipeline out to the storage sites in the North Sea - with the Port of Fredericia and Taulov Dry Port as important transit points. This is important for the green transition – and for Denmark's position as a future European CCS hub 💪 Read more about the partnership here: https://lnkd.in/dcZ8cY4w
There could be non-conventional, perhaps better, ways to sequester CO2. I have a novel idea, which I'll post soon on LI
Great too see this initiative and all the best to the success of the project. Denmark showing other countries what can be done re CCS for climate mitigation and creating new income streams. Impressive.
Good co-operation initative - however - who will it support?
We are all really excited!
🙌
Interesting development
