Organizing competitions that don't actually exist can cause confusion and let down participants. It's important to be honest and upfront when planning events, so people know what to expect. By focusing on real opportunities and being transparent, organizers can build trust and create a positive community of participants.

Given all the conferences we host here in Grapevine, we're big believers in Networking. Working the room can be intimidating, especially for introverts, but anyone can learn to do it! And, believe it or not, video games can help. That and more useful tips here:

I had a powerful realization last weekend. It happened while attending an event by The Talent Deck. TL;DR: Events need matchmakers. Unlike most events that feel transactional, This one had a different vibe altogether. Met Aashish and Sufiyan for the first time. Got some leads and made a lot of friends. Overall fun. But something that stood out to me: You need a matchmaker at events like these. Here's the thing: When you've got 50-80 people in the room, It's easy to get lost in the crowd. Sure, you can mingle and network. But breaking the ice takes time. That's where a matchmaker comes in (Sufiyan is the best one). Someone who knows how connecting you and someone else would be a win-win. PS: Find a way to make it to TTD events. Unless you want FOMO xD
