Dear MBR community, ⭐ for the last time in 2024, we would like to highlight an insightful and interesting paper recently published in our wonderful journal - it may just be the perfect read before Christmas and the holiday season! ⭐ In their paper entitled "A typology of born global firms’ attributes and future directions", Dr Huda Khan and S. Tamer Cavusgil apply a frame-based approach, a relatively under-applied methodology in the international business (IB) literature, to develop a multi-dimensional typology of BGFs’ attributes. Full paper available here: https://lnkd.in/dQ87ZjzZ 🎄 ✨ Finally, we wish all our readers, editors and reviewers a merry Christmas/ holiday season and happy new year! We will try to go through the papers as quickly as possible during the festive season, but everyone will also try to recharge during the Christmas period, thank you for your patience and support. "Companies know this may be your first interview or first time reading their clinical data. Add the stress of a short turnaround and a competitive job market and one can practically guarantee at least one screw up. I think what’s important to all hiring managers and cross-functional partners is that you have the EQ to recognize when you’re wrong, the humility to admit it, and most importantly, the maturity to take corrective steps to prevent a recurrence. Life, after all, is learning from our mistakes- embrace it!" Thank you Nabhan Islam, MD, MSL from Sanofi for the insightful article you shared with everyone in the December 2024 issue of the MSL Journal! ✅You can read his article "So You Botched an Interview Question. Now What?" here: https://lnkd.in/gkRK6Z5w 📌 INTERESTED IN CONTRIBUTING TO OUR NEXT ISSUE? You can reach out to Karolína Šandalová at karolina.sandalova@themsls.org for help with submissions. 🎉 Happy 84th birthday to John W. Kingdon 🎂, a pioneer who transformed how we understand public policy making. Kingdon’s groundbreaking book, Agendas, Alternatives, and Public Policies, laid the foundation for the Multiple Streams Framework (MSF)—a tool to decode complex policy processes by examining the convergence of problems, policies, and politics that drive change. Why is this so impactful for today’s policy professionals? Here are three ways (of many): 🍰 Simplifies Complexity: MSF breaks down intricate policy environments into three actionable streams, making it easier to identify windows of opportunity. 🍰 Fosters Strategic Thinking: By mapping issues within these streams, we can better anticipate roadblocks and align policy solutions effectively. 🍰 Bridges Theory and Practice: Kingdon’s framework offers actionable insights that make the “theoretical” directly applicable to real-world policy challenges. 📢 Join us to celebrate Kingdon’s legacy! On Nov. 1, 2024, the MSFMSA Virtual Research Community is hosting a free webinar on the latest MSF developments. Don't miss this opportunity to engage with the MSF's leading scholars and practitioners! 👉 For times and registration, see: https://lnkd.in/e6xr6jus
