Looking back at my time with an NGO in Abuja. I am reminded of an experience that deeply shaped my career and strengthened my skill set. I was fortunate to work under a boss who, though firm, believed in pushing me beyond my comfort zone. One of the most defining moments was when I was brought into a project that explored the intersection of gender and corruption—a topic that was both complex and impactful. The project was challenging, demanding sharp attention to detail, quick thinking, and adaptability. But it was in the middle of these challenges that I developed invaluable skills: project management, monitoring and evaluation, event coordination, logistics management, strategic communication, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Through this experience, I learned that growth often comes from being stretched beyond what you think you are capable of. I am grateful for the mentorship and the lessons that came with navigating this project, as they equipped me for the professional path I am on today. To everyone reading this: Embrace those challenging moments. They might just be the catalyst for your greatest growth. What’s one professional experience that pushed you and taught you valuable lessons? Let’s share and inspire each other. ✨ #ThrowbackThursday #ProfessionalGrowth #NGOLife #CareerLessons
