Opportunities You will be a person who report directly to C-level. You will be a person who bring equal for team members and, lead the partnerships. You can build a good network at new position. 2). Promoted Rank Every company have internal and external ranking that you may officially update on LinkedIn and resume. 3). Salary Considering salary is part of acquiring own development. Company might tell you that they have plenty of opening courses and, etc. Eventually, you are the pardon that consider to improve self contribution on professional career. 4). Potential Market Same rank but switching industries wiould be potential growth for you to consider future time investment. People invest their time and effort to earn achievements and success life. If a company can tell you non of those, do not choose it. 5). Passion People inspire people ! When you are considering a change, ask yourself that do I have enough passion to make it happen ? If yes, just go. Rules : 1). You are the person who pay tax for your own. 2). You will be removed when your performances are not enough for achievements. 3). Company never be a charity place. 4). Our H1 2024 Yangon Property Report is now out! Below are some highlights from our reports. The offices in major business district, Downtown and the expanding Inner City continue to charge similar rental rates, contributing to a competitive office market. The overall occupancy rate for the retail sector has been steadily rising QOQ. There was a marginal increase in the average rental rates for Serviced Apartments. A significant shift in the hotel sector is the conversion of the exchange rate from MMK2,100 per dollar to a higher rate of MMK2,800 or MMK2,900 per dollar by most hotels. The average selling prices of condominiums of all segments have jumped up to an increase of 19% compared to the end of 2023 due to higher demand and the volatility in the exchange rates. This time last year, 27th of March 2023, was the date I officially arrived in Dili, Timor-Leste to commence my 3-month consultancy role as a Senior consultant for the Procurement & Logistics department with CARE International in Timor-Leste. As a young Papua New Papua New Guinea, I took this opportunity seriously and delivered what was required of my role. Timor-Leste (for those who do not know) is located in South East Asia, next to Indonesia and commonly known for speaking the languages - Tetum, Bahasa Indonesia and Portuguese. The experience in Timor-Leste really helped me to be more strategic in my approach, built my capacity to a greater level and has equipped me to have a more broader understanding of the organization's operation both in PNG and abroad. I am always thankful to my first and also current employer for having the trust and belief in me to reach higher heights. Below are some encouragements I'd like to share for other young, striving professionals : 1. Read and understand the company/organization policies well and apply them practically to your role. Most of the time, these are standard policies and procedures, not contextualized to your local setting. 2. Always ask questions when you are not sure. 3. Pay very close attention to details 4. Be innovative and creative in your work but ensure it is line with policies, standards and procedures. 5. Learn to do more than what is outlined in your job description. In this way, you are showing that you are capable of taking on larger duties and challenges. 6. Always celebrate your small wins and progress. 7. Accept corrections from your colleagues and learn from them. 8. Always look at challenges positively and see them as opportunities. 8. Try to have fun while carrying out your tasks. You shouldn't stress yourself way too much. I just thought of sharing this and hope this motivates other young Papua New Guineans to bring out the best in all they do in their respective field of work.
