Seeding the Entrepreneurship Culture Across Kerala through Tie Young Entrepreneurs Programme! TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) is a Global Program fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders. TYE helps high school students (grades 9-12) learn entrepreneurial skills, invention and innovation by doing, rather than talking! As part of this programme, I got the opportunity to visit and mentor two schools at Attappady, a tribal taluk in Kerala. 44% of the Kerala’s tribal population is residing at this location. I had a lot of prejudice mindsets stating we can’t find great talents from Attapady however post my sessions, my perception got completely changed and have seen some of the brightest talents with an innovative mindset. Students has been shared ideas related to clean tech, farming, sustainable health solutions for killing mosquitoes of Kochi City etc were a few… One thing I realised post session is that if the state has a structured approach to nurture talents who are passionate for innovation and entrepreneurship, we can help them to develop their own local economies. This can lead to job creation, increased income, and overall economic growth within the community. Many tribal communities face economic challenges and poverty. Entrepreneurship training provides the tools and resources necessary for individuals to break out of this cycle by creating their own businesses and generating income for themselves and their families. In the long run, TYE programme we conducted at the tribal school can have a ripple effect, impacting not only the students who participate but also their families, communities, and future generations. It equips individuals with the skills, mindset, and resources needed to thrive in an ever-changing world while preserving the rich cultural heritage of the tribal community. Thank you Vinodini Sukumar,@Anoop TiE Kerala for inviting me for the session. Anoop AmbikaKerala Startup MissionC. PadmakumarIIMK LIVEKerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council

Unleashing Social Entrepreneurship: In an era marked by global challenges ranging from environmental degradation to socioeconomic inequality, the role of social entrepreneurship has emerged as a powerful force for positive change. Recently, I had the privilege of attending an international seminar titled "Impact Ignite: Unleashing Social Entrepreneurship," which provided a platform for innovators, activists, and thought leaders to exchange ideas and insights on harnessing entrepreneurship for social impact. This essay reflects on the experiences and key takeaways from this enriching event. Social entrepreneurship embodies the fusion of business acumen with a profound commitment to addressing societal issues. It represents a departure from traditional profit-maximizing motives, emphasizing instead the creation of sustainable solutions to pressing social and environmental challenges. Throughout the seminar, speakers underscored the transformative potential of social entrepreneurship in fostering inclusive growth, empowering marginalized communities, and catalyzing systemic change. Challenges and Opportunities: While the seminar celebrated the remarkable achievements of social entrepreneurs around the world, it also acknowledged the formidable challenges they face. From regulatory barriers to funding constraints, social entrepreneurs encounter numerous obstacles in their quest to create meaningful change. Personal Reflections: As I reflect on my experience at the Impact Ignite seminar, I am inspired by the passion, creativity, and dedication of the social entrepreneurs and change-makers I had the privilege of meeting. Their stories of resilience, innovation, and impact serve as a powerful reminder of the potential we all possess to make a difference in the world. Attending the Impact Ignite seminar was a profoundly enriching experience that reinforced my belief in the transformative power of social entrepreneurship. From thought-provoking discussions to inspiring success stories, the seminar provided valuable insights and perspectives on harnessing entrepreneurship for social impact.Debmalya Bhattacharjee

✨ Here ends my journey with the Impactpreneurship program by Synergy Academy https://lnkd.in/d-UwZ_qp, supported by USAID. This has been an unforgettable experience that significantly expanded my knowledge in the field of social impact entrepreneurship. The program combines theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for creating, developing, or changing a business model that aims not only for financial gain but also for a positive societal impact. 🥰 The second, mentorship stage of the program has now concluded, with 50 out of 560 participants being selected. The entire training lasted for 7 months! ✨ Advantages of the program: 📍 High-quality content: The lectures and course materials are well-structured and informative. They cover a wide range of topics, from the basics of social entrepreneurship to business scaling strategies. 📍 Experienced instructors: All the speakers are professionals in their field with real-life experience in entrepreneurship and social impact. Their practical advice and examples from their own experience were invaluable. 📍 Interactive approach: The program involves active student participation through discussions, group projects, and practical assignments. This not only allows for the assimilation of theoretical knowledge but also for its practical application. 📍 Networking: The course provided the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and establish useful connections with other program participants. This creates a conducive environment for idea exchange and collaborative project work. 📍 Support and mentorship: The instructors and mentors are always ready to help and provide recommendations tailored specifically to YOUR business, significantly enhancing the effectiveness of the training. 🔥 Achievements: During the training, my team at RAIDEN LP and I restructured our business and marketing strategy, re-evaluated our clients, set clear goals, and defined a social mission focused on safety. This allowed us to better understand our priorities and future direction of development. ✨ Drawbacks of the program: Intensity: For those balancing training with work or other obligations, the program can seem somewhat intense. However, this is also an advantage as the high intensity of the course promotes rapid material assimilation. ✨ The Impactpreneurship program is an excellent opportunity for those looking to create a business with social impact. It provides the necessary knowledge, practical skills, and support for the successful launch and development of social enterprises. 💛💙 I am grateful for this experience and confident that it will serve as a strong foundation for my further professional development in the field of social entrepreneurship. 🔥 I encourage everyone to join the next course!
