[NEWS LEGAL UPDATE] People of Vietnamese Descent Residing Overseas are Officially Recognized as Land Users in Vietnam Land Law 2024 will officially take effect from 01/08/2024. Land Law 2024 has expanded the land use right for people of Vietnamese descent residing overseas. This is one of the outstanding changes in this law amendment. Specifically, Clause 6 Article 4 Land Law 2024 stipulates: “Article 4. Land users Land users who are allocated land, leased land, recognized for land use rights by the State; those who are using land stably and eligible for Certificate of land use rights, land-attached assets ownership but have not been granted these certificates; those who are transferred land use rights; those who sublease land according to this Law, including: [...] 6.
