Our mahi has been keeping us busy of late, and no one more so than Charisma. She's been spending more time on the road than at home, so during a recent lull she took the time to reflect on the concept of "busyness" and the need to find a balance. "Everything in the natural world has phases of growth, phases of busyness, phases of slowness, phases of quiet. It’s about balance and it helps ensure that we persevere, that we play the long game. Tai timu, tai pari – a flowing tide, an ebbing tide." Click below to read the full piece.

#How_To_Make_Millions_Before_Grandma_Dies It's probably a bit odd to talk about movies in LinkedIn. But this Thai movie by Pat Boonnitipat, that has taken top chart in Indonesia and Singapore, is rather special. From management perspective, here are some lessons: 🤷 #Story_telling is a very poweful communication tool. Be it for your internal, public or commercial ads, story that can convey intentions (not in powerpoint bullet points format) will leave lasting and powerful impact. Pat has proven it with this movie. ❣️ Overall, life is an entanglement of work, money, job, success, but also family, elderlies, values, death and love. Find a path to embrace them all. "𝘞𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴, 𝘸𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯.” (Cesare Pavese) If you have not watched it, bring tissue if you plan to.

Going to the Balcony – Finding Perspective William Ury describes the concept of going to the balcony—stepping back to gain perspective, which is essential in heated moments. In BeH2O, we train coaches and parents to pause, breathe, and take that step back. Good video choreography that truly exhibits essense of lifestyle. In today's fast-paced world, the essence of things can sometimes go unnoticed. In many modern cities, the focus tends to be on quick decisions and social connections rather than on deeper, more intrinsic values. This emphasis on speed and networking can lead to a shallow understanding of what truly matters. Instead of solely defining significance through social interactions, it's essential to remember that essence encompasses the core attributes and qualities that make something what it truly is. It goes beyond fleeting moments or superficial connections, delving into the heart of meaning and purpose. Taking the time to reflect on the essence of our choices, relationships, and experiences can bring about a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. By pausing amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life to contemplate the essence of things, we may find a more profound sense of fulfillment and connection. https://lnkd.in/gcaptPjm

June holds significant meaning in Hoodoo, marked by traditions, practices, and spiritual activities. Here's a deeper look into what June means within the context of Hoodoo: 1. Juneteenth Celebration: - Historical Significance: June 19th, known as Juneteenth, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in Texas in 1865, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This day is celebrated with joy, reflection, and community gatherings. - Spiritual Aspect: In Hoodoo, Juneteenth is a time to honor ancestors and reflect on the strength and resilience of the African American community. Rituals and ceremonies may include offerings to ancestors, prayers for freedom and justice, and communal meals. 2. Summer Solstice: - Astronomical Event: The summer solstice, occurring around June 21st, is the longest day of the year and signifies the start of summer. - Hoodoo Practices: The solstice is a powerful time for manifestation and renewal. Practitioners may perform rituals to harness the energy of the sun, cleanse their spaces, and set intentions for the coming months. Sun-related herbs, like sunflower and St. John’s Wort, are often used in rituals and spiritual baths. https://lnkd.in/eewnXQXm #monday #moon #tarot #tarotreadings #guidance #spirituallifecoach #contentcreator #entreprenuer #creative #guide #podcast #smallbusiness #creator #tarotreader #fyp #foryou #hoodoo #businessowner #spiritualjourney #thecushconcierge #businesscoach #collectivereading #spiritualguide #oracle #intuitive #pisces

Stop what you’re doing. Put your pencils down, remove your fingertips from the keyboard, just stop. Give yourself five minutes to listen to this before you go back to work. It’s life-changing, really beautiful and we all need a break sometimes to refocus on what’s really important. https://lnkd.in/gFUzygd5

I introduced myself about a month ago but this time I also wanted to share why I started Best Work Yet. First a little about me: I grew up in New Zealand where I studied business and psychology then I lived in the UK for years (hence the cool international accent). Now I live in Oakville, which is in the Greater Toronto Area where I run my business. When I'm not working, I love anything that involves getting together and being around people. I love drinking wine 🥂 and chatting and playing board games, especially Carcassonne. When I'm playing Carcassonne, I have to be the red Meeple. So, if you want to be friends with me, you have to pick another colour. So yes, I am a people person. I love what I do for work because it's all about people. I get really excited about the intersection between business and psychology. I started Best Work Yet because I care about people and we spend so much time at work, it's important to enjoy it. I want to be great at what I do and have fun doing it and I want that for you as well. Everything we do about Best Work Yet is about those two pieces, being great at what you do and finding the best ways to do it so that you really enjoy it. What is your favourite board game (and do you have a piece you have to be?) https://buff.ly/37td1i8 #bestworkyet #introduction #thewhy
