Navigating Evolving Policy & Regulation in Rainwater Management As global water resources face increasing pressure, governments and regulatory bodies around the world are turning greater attention to sustainable rainwater harvesting and drainage solutions. Policies are evolving to ensure that both private and public stakeholders do their part in safeguarding water quality, reducing stormwater runoff, and preparing for climate-related challenges. From stricter building codes to incentives that encourage efficient rainwater capture, these emerging standards aim to reduce dependency on traditional municipal supplies. Many regions now mandate rainwater storage systems for certain construction projects, enforce stormwater quality control measures, or require permeable surfaces to reduce flooding and recharge groundwater resources. At MEA Water Management, we stay at the forefront of these regulatory shifts. Our solutions, from advanced rainwater collecting systems to cutting-edge infiltration and filtration systems, are designed to meet and exceed the latest guidelines. Each product we engineer focuses on: - Quality Assurance: Our systems are rigorously tested to ensure durability, safety, and long-term performance that satisfies both environmental and legal benchmarks. - Ease of Integration: MEA Water Management solutions are designed for seamless incorporation into existing or new infrastructure projects, reducing headaches as policies evolve. - Sustainability & ROI: By implementing efficient rainwater usage practices, our clients not only comply with regulations, but also enjoy reduced operational costs, improved water resilience, and a positive environmental impact. As the global regulatory landscape continues to advance toward more sustainable, responsible water management, MEA Water Management stands ready with innovative solutions that keep you compliant—and better prepared for the future. The UK's water sector faces a raft of challenges as it navigates multiple crises. But we've found that a key issue - which has exacerbated other controversies and further damaged public trust - is that water companies have underinvested in communicating what they do to the public. In a report by Copper and the Future Water Association, it is demonstrated that a significant portion of the public have low understanding around processes such as sewage treatment. To build their reputations in the long-term, one of the first steps water companies need to take is engaging and educating the public with regards to what they do, and how water works in the UK.

As per a recent report by the National Green Tribunal (NGT), only 56% of the 31 states with sewage treatment plants (STPs) have actually utilized their capacity. With a total capacity of 1261 STPs, only 56% of them have been utilized for the treatment of municipal sewage. The states have been asked to improve their implementation of Scheme AMRUT 2.0 which was launched in 2021. According to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), the discharge standards for sewage treatment plants (STPs) were notified in 1986 with further amendments in 2017. The AMRUT 2.0 scheme was launched in 2021 to combat the problem of sewage overflow. #Water #WaterPollution #WasteWater #WaterTreatment #Treatment #Waste #Pollution #Asia #India This content is jointly prepared by ZWEEC Analytics Pte Ltd and ripple2wave. Water distribution in Indiana is uneven due to geographical and infrastructural factors. The state's water resources are not uniformly spread, leading to areas with abundant water and others facing scarcity. This uneven distribution highlights the need for a comprehensive statewide water management plan that incorporates local input to address both fresh and wastewater needs effectively.
A new study shows that Indiana’s #water supply is “plentiful,” but not evenly distributed. Researchers said that caveat makes completion of a statewide water management plan — driven by local input — even more urgent. https://lnkd.in/eKYjFNXJ
