🔔 An Israeli firm continues work in the Philippines to support sufficient energy supply in the coming years Ratio Petroleum , an Israeli petroleum and energy company, conducts a 3D seismic survey in East Palawan Basin (Sulu Sea). Results of the survey will be used to enhance understanding of the basin’s geological features and gather data essential to assessing potential for new oil and gas discoveries in the area. In 2018, Ratio Petroleum was awarded a seven-year Service Contract or SC 76 to conduct oil and gas exploration in East Palawan Basin. This has led to discoveries of prospective oil and gas deposits that may possibly augment the fast-depleting Malampaya natural gas field. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gCdcB-F7

Tower Resources has received an extension of the initial exploration period for its PEL 96 license offshore Namibia, now set to run until October 31, 2024. The Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy also deferred the commitment to acquire 1,000 km² of new 3D seismic data to the first renewal period. With progress made in their current work, including the identification of promising stratigraphic traps and source rocks capable of generating up to 150 billion barrels of oil, Tower Resources plans to continue evaluating and reprocessing seismic data to select the best areas for further exploration. Frontier exploration in Pacific margin . The Cenozoic sequence overlay the Pre-Cenozoic basement (cyan horizon) which is composed by different units, as represented by each seismic facies in the section. Beneath this horizon the Paleo-Mesozoic graben acts as a hydrocarbon kitchen. . Salaverry basin, offshore Peru

The Matterhorn Express pipeline, which began operations in September 2024, adds 2.5 Bcf/d of capacity from the Permian Basin to the U.S. Gulf Coast, easing bottlenecks and boosting gas prices at the Waha hub. This new capacity allows producers to reduce flaring and increase oil production, contributing to a forecasted rise in Permian crude output to 6.5 million bpd in 2025. However, with Permian gas production expected to grow rapidly, new bottlenecks could emerge by 2025, necessitating additional pipelines like Blackcomb, scheduled to start in 2026. https://lnkd.in/gBX3rwgX

If we do a simple gradient calculation, it is possible to have a temperature of around 80 degrees at 2750 meters. The possible reservoir level would be Derdere or Sabunsuyu Formation. There is no reservoir pressure at this level, it is necessary to produce with a pump. In this case, the average flow rate will be 70t/s. Do you think this is a geothermal resource?
The General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration | MTA is doing preparatory work 🙌 for exploratory drilling of geothermal resources ♨ in the Baglar district in Diyarbakir, Türkiye. In this context, it is planned to carry out the drilling one exploration well to a depth of 2750 meters 👏.
