The work behind the activities Introducing a new activity into training sessions is both an art and a science. It requires thorough planning, workmanship, and trial runs before presenting it to the group. This meticulous approach ensures that the activity aligns with the learning objectives and engages participants effectively. I’m constantly driven to create new activities for two reasons. First, I get bored quickly and can't bring myself to repeat the same activities endlessly. Second, in a competitive landscape where outbound trainers are popping up everywhere, it’s essential to stand out. When clients ask what sets me apart, I confidently highlight my diverse activity toolkit, my dynamic energy, and the value-driven learnings I deliver. I am very modest... I know... tss tss Every time we design an activity, there are key factors to consider: Number of Participants: The activity should accommodate and engage all participants, whether it’s a small team or a large group. The Audience: Activities must resonate with the group's profile, such as their professional background, age, or skill set. The End Goal: Every activity should tie back to a specific outcome, be it team bonding, leadership development, or communication improvement. Learning Outcomes: It’s crucial to ensure the activity offers meaningful takeaways, whether through self-reflection, practical skills, or behavioral insights. Creating fresh, impactful activities is my way of staying ahead of the curve while keeping myself and my participants energized and engaged. #flawsomeme "Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore" - Andrew Gide "I am not perfect but I try experimenting with perfection all the time" - Namita Naik #hrexecutives #learninganddevelopment #corporatetrainer #outboundtraining

Aditi, "How do you know the training has created IMPACT?" When employees go back and apply the learnings from training to real-life. And, they see the RESULTS. 💯 In NUMBERS. In BEHAVIOR. In MINDSET. In PERFORMANCE. How wonderful right!! But is just one day of training enough for this? No. Even if I am doing a one day of training, the process before and after makes a lot of difference. This is what works whenever I do any training for any institution no matter the scale. All the training I do have many layers. But to measure the impact, post-evaluation worked really well. All my training are technique based practical and hands on. I don't rely on motivational and theoretical frameworks. So glad that all of my audience go back and apply different bits and pieces of it. 🎯 Most importantly, they bring the impact which would impact their role positively. 💯 If you are still questioning L&D and training, Meet me or Book a Free Discovery call with me, I will clarify all your doubts. DM me now if you want something for your company which actually WORKS. ➡️ #corporatetrainer #training #negotiationskills #needassessment #learninganddevelopment #humanresources #leadershipdevelopment

What comes to mind when i think of success that isn't just a performance KPI/ measure... - Creating a safe space - Building a strong relationship - Both parties being vulnerable with each other - Being honest - Thinking of environment & surroundings - Providing feedback as a two way relationship This is part of my role in the Skills Academy... I have a 6 week programme supporting colleagues with the will to learn and grow in their role. These colleagues initially were all strangers to each other all from different teams. 6 weeks later we all have a great relationship, we have gone through an emotional journey together building more than just knowledge. We have supported with emotional support, home life support, building resilience, being receptive to feedback, teaching eagerness to understand performance and building confidence. Sharing performance struggles with each other to share best practise and seeking guidance is so refreshing in such a short space of time. Claire- My Skills Academy Coach cares so deeply for development, people and thriving for success and is our MVP in making this programme a huge success. Her infectious energy, passion and determination for people to achieve has taken these guys from strength to strength. They have all smashed their journey! Instead of constantly talking about numbers we spoke about knowledge gaps, had calibration sessions, feedback sessions, peer to peer coaching, reverse coaching and being self reflective and guess what? The performance came naturally! #proud #treatpeoplelikepeople #notalwaysaboutnumbers #performancewillcome

As a Trainer and Educator, I often find myself holding a mirror to my participants, reflecting back their capabilities, strengths, and areas of growth. But what happens when that mirror becomes more like a magnifying glass, focusing only on the attributes that align with my expectations? Also, being an educator is like nurturing a sapling. If done with steadfast attention and unwavering faith in its beauty, it would thrive, reaching towards the sky. Conversely, the plants I overlook, doubting their ability to blossom, would wither. Imagine walking into a training session with a preconceived notion about a participant's performance. Perhaps they've been labeled a "high performer," or conversely, someone who "struggles to keep up." Without realizing it, these labels can shape how we interpret their actions and contributions during the session. We might overlook their mistakes or challenges because we've already deemed them capable. On the flip side, we might not notice the progress of someone who has been pegged as a slow learner. This is where the subtle influence of Pygmalian Effect & Confirmation Bias can come into play respectively. In my journey as a trainer, I've learned that awareness is the key to counteracting confirmation bias. It's about stepping back from the mirror and looking at the whole room. By fostering an open environment, we allow each participant to reveal their true potential, free from the constraints of our biases. Every training session becomes a unique opportunity to discover new strengths and insights, both in others and within ourselves. This garden, much like our personal and professional relationships, exemplifies the transformative power of belief. When we genuinely invest our trust and optimism in others, we become like gardeners, fostering an environment where talent flourishes. Conversely, our skepticism can stifle potential, causing growth to stagnate. As we continue to grow in our roles, let's commit to viewing each participant as a unique individual with a fresh perspective and an untapped reservoir of potential. Together, we can create a more inclusive, dynamic, and effective learning environment. #ConfirmationBias #TrainingAndDevelopment #Leadership #PersonalGrowth #InclusiveLearning #corporatetrainer #softskills #lifecoach #lecturer #visitingfaculty

The thing I love about training is that it's never a one-way street. I always come away with new insights as well. Yesterday was a perfect example. I had the opportunity to deliver a VoC (Voice of the Customer) training session to a group of product managers from a medical equipment supplier. Not only did I get a deeper understanding of the industry, but we also had a fascinating discussion on how VoC can be applied specifically to product management. It was a rich exchange of ideas, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, particularly given how the participants were so committed to delivering what their customers need. Later in the day, I led a session on *Enhancing Team Effectiveness* with a group of Employee Resource Group (ERG) leaders from a company in the US. What really stood out to me was how these groups create an inclusive culture, giving everyone the space to be themselves. Even more impressive was how the ERG leaders were dedicated to ensuring the volunteers running these groups gained personal development opportunities, such as refining public speaking skills and other skills they might not typically use in their daily roles. I also picked up a brilliant new acronym: FAIL = First Attempt In Learning! It was a long day, waking up at 3 am for my flight and finally getting home close to 1 am, but it was absolutely worth it. I spent the day doing what I truly enjoy and left feeling fulfilled, having been able to expand my own knowledge while teaching. #Training #VoC #LeadershipDevelopment #Inclusion #ContinuousLearning #EmployeeExperience
