Another excellent output from the CSIRO and Standards Australia collaborative project about Implementation of Circular Economy Standards in the APEC region. The video was prepared by Standards Australia to demonstrate case studies for how circular economy standards can be implemented to accelerate sustainable materials and product design. This case study video is one such example, focussing on labelling standards to enable consumers to identify products with environmental and social imperatives in mind, and touches on the other critical areas that standards will play a role in accelerating circular economy. These include (but aren't limited to) circularity of materials, climate impacts, chemicals management and supply chain and market development. 🤝 Standards Australia is partnering with Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) to promote the adoption of #circulareconomy standards across the region, fostering sustainable growth and prosperity. ♻️ One organisation leading the way in #sustainability through international standards is the Global Electronics Council (GEC) with its primary tool ‘EPEAT’ eco-label. Used in over 46 countries, EPEAT helps purchasers identify tech products built with environmental and social imperatives in mind, including circularity.
