We’re excited to be featured in the latest initiative by the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation! This research agenda helps sub-federal and national government leaders explore how digital public goods (DPGs) can enhance public service delivery and citizen engagement. The Landscape Scan highlights DPGs designed for government use, examining their existence, global deployment, governance models, and financial sustainability to drive better outcomes for communities. In building and releasing these resources publicly, the GovTech research team hopes to: 🔹 Create an easy-to-consult and updatable resource documenting the landscape of DPGs in use by governments; 🔹Make it easier for state, tribal, and agencies, advocates, technology implementers to understand the scope and increasing potential of DPGs in public service delivery; and 🔹 Expand understanding of the trends and characteristics of the varied solutions available in the DPG market. https://okt.to/bpnmTV

ℹ️ If you wish to understand public digital infrastructures in the context of current global debates, read this article by our partners! Jan Krewer and Zuzanna Warso reviewed the existing literature and current global debates on public digital infrastructures. 💼 Through five case studies on Decidim, Zentrum Digitale Souveränität (ZenDiS), DHIS2, scikit-learn and EOSC Association, the paper highlights approaches to address infrastructure gaps and deepens the understanding of how #DigitalCommons can sustain and enhance various forms of public digital infrastructures. 🙏 Thanks to Nil Homedes Busquets, Nicholas Gates, Lea Gimpel, Cailean Osborne, and Roksana Wilk for their insights. This research is a contribution to the NGI Commons project, which aims to formulate a long term strategy for Digital Commons to support Europe’s digital sovereignty. 👇 Read or download the paper: https://lnkd.in/df7BaU27 #DigitalCommons #PublicDigitalInfrastructures

Day 1 at #ETSISEC2024 was great! Lots of interesting talks. Here's a quick takeaway regarding #IoTSecurity as well as speakers' insights: - SBOM interoperability and replicability is an important topic. It's not about having an SBOM, it's about what you do with it. Key message: don't talk about "BOM" in an airport (use an American accent and you'll understand why). - There's a EU project called "CYBERSTAND.eu" that is looking for CRA experts to develop new standards. The budget is 2,999,999.09 € (yep...) Key message: you must reside in the EU to participate. - SBOM + VM + supply chain (upstream/downstream) is important and it's more than just putting a few self-declarative questions in an Excel file. You need processes, training, tools and A LOT of efforts. Huawei explained it well. Key message: collaboration is key, and you should probably train your suppliers and customers. - EUCC is not 100% CRA-ready and it will be updated soon. Some gaps remain and ENISA has a great report about it. Key message: if you already use EUCC, you should be OK with CRA. But if you don't, and you don't have to, simply don't. Public sector data is often locked away in lots of individual systems, across many different organisations, and isn’t in a format that makes access or integration easy. Launched in 2021, Research Data Scotland (RDS) helps researchers find out what’s out there, how good it is and how to get hold of it quickly. In our latest guest blog, Professor Roger Halliday, RDS’s Chief Executive Officer introduces the organisation’s pioneering Researcher Access Service and looks forward to its future innovations. https://lnkd.in/e47p3xZW
