Let’s face it: finding a job in the Salesforce ecosystem is tougher than ever, especially for career changers and entry-level professionals. Yet, there’s so much talent out there that we, as hiring managers, would kill for once the market shifts again.
How do we break the vicious cycle of hiring based solely on certifications or years of experience?
Consider focusing on the following Trailblazer characteristics and you, job seekers, make sure you highlight them as much as possible:
👉 Work experience outside of Salesforce that translates well, including your transferable skills
👉 Showing attitude, determination, energy and communication skills using creative forms like a video instead of a cover letter
👉 Great preparation for an interview with a solid elevator pitch (check out this Trailhead module https://lnkd.in/e-f8dfPi)
👉 Participation in the Trailblazer Community, investing in networking and ability to build relationships
👉 Actively skilling up on Trailhead, Clicked or other learning platforms as a demonstration of continuous professional development
Based on my experience, these traits can set individuals up for success in certain roles even more than a long list of certifications. Give it a thought, too!
