Entry Level #Salesforce Job Landed 🎉 This is a DM I got over the weekend for another October 2024 #JobLanded 🙏 Life happened and it took longer than they expected to get all the way through the program and to the "Job Application Strategy" phase. Thanks to lifetime access this didn't impact their access to the program, coaches or support. ✅ Just 3 months after they started applying for roles they received the offer! 👏 They say the Talent Stacker Experience Project was the clearest impact for them because of the way it showed up in their interviews and impressed the team they were interviewing with! They also highlighted the importance of doing the ENTIRE program. Landing a job is like a puzzle, if skip just one piece the puzzle is incomplete and it shows as soon as you look at it. Make sure you have every single piece then you are the complete job ready candidate! To start your Salesforce career with completely free resources including a 5 Day Challenge, Salesforce Certification Course, Interview Prep Guide and a Networking Guide just comment "Interested" and I'll get them right over to you 🎉🎉🎉

Let’s face it: finding a job in the Salesforce ecosystem is tougher than ever, especially for career changers and entry-level professionals. Yet, there’s so much talent out there that we, as hiring managers, would kill for once the market shifts again. How do we break the vicious cycle of hiring based solely on certifications or years of experience? Consider focusing on the following Trailblazer characteristics and you, job seekers, make sure you highlight them as much as possible: 👉 Work experience outside of Salesforce that translates well, including your transferable skills 👉 Showing attitude, determination, energy and communication skills using creative forms like a video instead of a cover letter 👉 Great preparation for an interview with a solid elevator pitch (check out this Trailhead module https://lnkd.in/e-f8dfPi) 👉 Participation in the Trailblazer Community, investing in networking and ability to build relationships 👉 Actively skilling up on Trailhead, Clicked or other learning platforms as a demonstration of continuous professional development Based on my experience, these traits can set individuals up for success in certain roles even more than a long list of certifications. Give it a thought, too! #trailblazercommunity #trailblazers #salesforce

🔍 Ever been through an intense interview process only to hear you’re “overqualified”? A while back, I went through a rigorous two-week interview process that included a hands-on coding session and meeting with five team members. The recruiter shared positive feedback, even mentioning that if they had two positions, I would have been selected. Despite the positive feedback, I was informed that they chose someone with more experience, Funny enough, the job description only required 3 years, while I have 6 years of Salesforce expertise. Looking back now, I realize that every setback is an opportunity for redirection. Since then, I’ve continued to grow my skills, and I’ve found even better opportunities that align with my passion and expertise. For anyone dealing with similar experiences, trust the process. What’s meant for you will come—keep pushing forward! 🚀 #Reflection #Growth #Resilience #Salesforce #Opportunity

Before you start hiring for a Salesforce role, get everyone that will be involved in the process (from the internal team) in a room/on a call to discuss the role and what is needed - to make sure everyone is on the same page. Everyone that will be involved in any stages of the interview process should be crystal clear on: 📍The role and responsibilities 📍The ideal candidate 📍The absolute must haves and what can be negotiated on 📍The companies selling points and what makes the role attractive 📍The expectations of the new hire 📍The ins and outs of what’s on offer (benefits, flexibility etc) So often I will speak to one manager in the team who says that the key requirement is X but another manager or interviewer focuses on Y in an interview, and then seems to overlook a candidates skills in X. Other issues I hear of are things like candidates going through a process and being told different things by different people, like how many days per week they need to be in the office, or why the role is available. If you aren’t all looking for the same things or sharing the same message, you are likely missing out on good candidates or confusing people and giving an element of doubt. This is the 1st instance I've personally seen of someone landing a job with the Salesforce Associate Certification only 🎉 If that's not enough, they landed the job less than 90 days after joining Talent Stacker! Number one congratulations to them! Number two, I've been saying for the past 7 years, the certifications are not what employers are looking for to determine if they're going to hire you. We must do more to convince them, this person did more. Whether you have 1 or 5, it's not what they really need to know about you. So what made the difference? Well, you can read their DM that I've shared below, but here are the high points. 👉 Feeling Unstuck - Feeling Confident 👉 Resume/LinkedIn (in addition to learning) 👉 Quality Interview Training - Storytelling These may sound simple, they may or may not resonate with you, but when you go from not having them to having them they can complete the puzzle and be the difference between a paycheck and sending more applications. Disclaimer for the celebration police 🚓 - Yes we know, you should still get the Admin Certification to make sure you know the basics. - Yes we know landing a job in 90 days is atypical the norms are closer to 5-7 months for Talent Stackers. - Yes it's an actual Salesforce role. - All components of this celebratory post are within the regulations of the 2024 job landed celebration codes.
