The findings from The Trevor Project’s 2022 National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health are alarming and demand our immediate attention. 🚨 Despite progress in LGBTQ rights, rates of suicidal thoughts among LGBTQ young people have been on the rise over the past three years. This underscores the urgent need for continued advocacy and support for LGBTQ youth. 💔 Here are some key findings: ➡️ 45% seriously considered suicide last year. ➡️ LGBTQ+ youth with strong family support had lower rates of suicide attempts. ➡️ Many transgender and nonbinary youth lack gender-affirming homes. ➡️ 60% couldn't access needed mental health care. ➡️ Accepting communities saw fewer suicide attempts. These statistics highlight the critical need for comprehensive support systems and access to mental health resources for LGBTQ youth. It is our collective responsibility to create safe and affirming spaces where all young people feel valued, supported, and accepted for who they are. 🌟💖 See more: https://buff.ly/3NJODIF #LGBTQYouth #MentalHealth #SupportNeeded
