If you're the CEO of the PGA of America what's one if the first things you do to help PGA of America Members? Me, either switch to for-profit and work with the IRS to make it doable. OR Figure out ways to give money to PGA of America Members to use to create and build Grow the Game Programs in their local communities. (If you can give $400,000 to each Ryder Cup Team Member for their charitable golf initiatives, you can $400,000 to PGA of America Members for their charitable golf initiatives.) Somehow figure ways to get the money away from the wasteful PGA of America Bureaucrats.

Yesterday we had a Board of Trustees meeting for Tigers4Ever, reviewing the financial year 2023/24 and looking forward to 24/25’s fundraising targets and priority projects. What a great bunch of people, all giving their time, skills and expertise to do what they can to help raise funds to protect wild tigers and their habitats. SCI REMC Operation RoundUp funded Owen County Farmers’ Market with a $750 grant to help install a roadside reader board for the 2024 season. “Previously, we relied heavily on social media and word of mouth to promote the market. Market vendors requested additional signage. The signage purchased using the grant funds allows us to inform the community of weekly offerings and special events happening at the market each week. The first two market days of the season have been much busier with visitors than the previous season, and we have increased our vendor participation by nearly 40%. We are so thankful to have received the support to help our market grow in the Owen County community!” Photos provided by Owen County Farmers’ Market. The Operation RoundUp Program accumulates and disburses funds for charitable purposes to individuals, families, groups, and organizations located in the service area of South Central Indiana REMC. Cornwall Hospice Care are the new charity partner of the Truro office of Bishop Fleming Chartered Accountants - it was a privilege to volunteer in their St. Austell warehouse with colleagues Thomas Brock and Sadie Farmer today. The warehouse is a major logistics operation - its scale and the volume of donations that has to be processed is simply staggering - clothing, textiles, furniture, electricals, books, games, CDs, and general bric-a-brac all need to be sorted before they can be retailed in their shops or recycled. It highlighted to me just how much we consume and throw away as individuals, and also how much charities such as this need volunteers. We'll be doing a lot more volunteering and fundraising for this amazing charity - part of our 1% for Communities responsible business commitment, details of which can be found in our new Impact Report. https://lnkd.in/erWJNyWk

Tanka Fund is dedicated to aiding rancher partners in returning Buffalo to their ancestral lands by providing necessary infrastructure. A crucial aspect of this support involves helping ranchers construct specific fencing to safely manage their Buffalo herds. One Native rancher is close to completing his fencing project, which will allow him to care for up to 150 Buffalo. Financial contributions are needed to help finish the remaining 5½ miles of fencing. The cost of fencing is approximately $34 per foot, and donations are crucial to help complete the remaining fencing this summer.
