On October 1st, I had the honor of attending the launch of CGEM for Tech Founders, an initiative that’s more than just a milestone it’s a testament to Morocco’s ambition to lead in innovation.  As a proud Moroccan, seeing our country take such bold steps toward building a thriving digital ecosystem fills me with patriotism and hope for the future. Here’s what was told at the event : 🔹 Empowering Startups: CGEM unveiled a game-changing support system, from cutting through red tape to connecting entrepreneurs with investors and 90,000+ business leaders. 🔹 5G: Morocco’s Leap into the Future: The rollout of 5G will redefine connectivity, opening doors for smarter industries, faster innovation, and groundbreaking opportunities for startups.  It’s a transformative shift that places Morocco at the forefront of the digital revolution in Africa. 🔹 2030 Digital Strategy in Motion: Ex Minister Ghita Mezzour presented the 2030 Strategy, while Mohamed Benchaâboun emphasized how the Mohammed VI Fund is unlocking venture capital firms to fuel innovation. As proud Moroccans and tech enthusiasts, we share a responsibility to take Morocco’s tech ecosystem to the global stage. When Fondation Sophia Antipolis met last week with Taiwan’s dynamic startup ecosystem it was part of a strategic road map to facilitate startups from Sophia Antipolis looking to enter Asian markets and use Taiwan as a strategic entry point, leveraging its local expertise and connections. And similarly facilitate Taiwanese startups to tap into European markets through Sophia Antipolis. Taiwan startups ecosystem is a dynamic and growing landscape, characterized by strong governmental support, a skilled workforce, and strategic industry strengths. As the ecosystem continues to mature, Taiwan is well-positioned to become a leading hub for innovation and entrepreneurship Both regions can benefit from collaborative R&D projects, leveraging each other’s strengths in ICT, biotechnology, and environmental technologies. Partnerships between universities and research institutions can drive innovation. Establishing exchange programs where startups from Taiwan can spend time in Sophia Antipolis and vice versa can foster knowledge sharing, cultural exchange, and business development opportunities. 🇺🇦 joins the EU Startup Nations Alliance Ukrainian Startup Fund has become a member of ESNA - Europe Startup Nations Alliance — a European initiative that unites countries creating the best conditions for startup development. The alliance includes 26 EU countries, Iceland, and Ukraine. ESNA will support the growth of Ukraine's startup ecosystem by implementing eight key standards, ranging from financing access to regulatory innovation. Joining ESNA opens new opportunities for the development of Ukrainian startups: 👉🏻 exchange of experience and best practices with European partners 👉🏻 international support — Ukrainian startups will receive assistance in attracting investment for scaling, participating in grant programs, and networking 👉🏻 integration into the European market — entering the global arena will now be even easier through partnerships with other ESNA members Ukraine is confidently strengthening its leadership on the global innovation stage.
