Ukraine has joined the EU Startup Nations Alliance (ESNA) 🇺🇦 🇪🇺 The Ukrainian Startup Fund has become part of a global community aimed at developing startup ecosystems. The Alliance’s main goal is to help member countries become startup nations. ESNA brings together 26 EU countries, Iceland, and Ukraine. Ukraine's startup ecosystem is showing incredible resilience and growth despite challenging circumstances 🚀 Ranked 49th globally and 30th in Europe in the 2023 Global Startup Ecosystem (GSE) Index, Ukraine is bouncing back with five cities in the top 1,000 ecosystems globally. Kyiv leads the way, moving up 16 spots to 77th globally, while Lviv is on a remarkable recovery path, jumping 258 spots to rank 491st globally, marking the strongest improvement of any Ukrainian ecosystem. The country's talent and determination are on display with notable startups like Grammarly, People.ai, and Ajax Systems leading innovation. With increased support from international organizations and newly established funds, Ukraine's startup community is proving to be both scalable and global. In celebration of Europe Day, it's the perfect moment to share something exciting. The European Startup Network (ESN) just unveiled its new leadership team and a strategic 10-point plan aimed at making Europe a competitive powerhouse for startups. 🇪🇺 Fittingly, at our flagship event yesterday - the AustrianStartups Summit, ESN's new CEO, Clark Parsons, led a thought-provoking panel on technological sovereignty in Europe. The discussion highlighted a critical issue: the dominance of US funds in European startup growth rounds. It's clear we need to level the playing field. The ESN is stepping up, uniting 38 national startup organizations to be the voice for startups in Brussels. With our 10 point plan for a competitive continent we highlight the policy priorities we will be working on in the coming years. Those priorities include making it easier for startups to operate across borders, introduce pan-European tech visas, standardize stock options programs, and attract more investments into venture capital from pension and insurance funds. The catalogue features detailed company profiles, analytical data about startups’ team composition, investment attraction and revenue sources, and more. This cohesive approach gives a large array of data for a holistic overview of the Ukrainian startup landscape. ️ ⭐ How were the startups selected? 50 prominent experts from the Ukrainian tech ecosystem were involved in evaluation of startups based on innovation, growth potential, and contribution to the sector development. ️ ⭐  Who is this catalogue for? The catalogue is a unique source of information for venture and angel investors, local and international partners, and startups at various maturity stages.  🤝 The catalogue was implemented in partnership with the Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF), sponsored by AEQUO Law Firm, with Awesomic design partner. 8 Ukrainian Startups Announced for LONDON TECH WEEK 2024! On 7th May, the London Tech Week Pitch Day brought together top Ukrainian startups vying for a spot in the official delegation to London Tech Week 2024. The honourable jury board has selected eight startups that will represent Ukrainian tech innovations in London. We're happy to announce that datrics.ai, a Y Combinator Alumni and a Sigma Software Labs portfolio startup, is among those chosen to represent Ukraine. Other teams representing Ukraine this year include Akurateco Payment Hub, Bird, Effy AI performance management platform, GetOrder, Headway EdTech, Metaenga, and UGLA ERP system. The Ukrainian delegation to London Tech Week 2024 is organised by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Startup Fund, and Techosystem, with the support of Seeds of Bravery and UK-Ukraine TechBridge.
