Co-founder & CEO @ Great Question - the unified customer research platform.

Part of our onboarding process for every new hire is to run a research study on Great Question. The first study is to setup interviews with cross-departmental colleagues to understand their perception of your department / role; what can be improved; and how they can best work together. The screener for this study alone yields a ton of relevant data to support the new hire onboarding. Both for the IC and their manager. And it creates an easy way to meet their colleagues while experiencing using the Great Question platform. Win/Win.

Love this. Once when some of our exec team questioned the value of qual over quant, I explained by saying “Imagine if, when I started, instead of going on a listening tour, I just sent everyone a survey. Would I have gained enough depth of understanding our priorities and problems?”

It’d be 10X more interesting to see this done by people who offboard!
