Second time in Vilnius this year to meet with our European crew, well worth the time! Ever been to events or meetings that seem a waste of time or money, or both? Boring, long, irrelevant? We've had those too. But through trial and error, I think we have figured out how to have great meetings that actually get results. What has been working for us? Here are some ingredients to try 🎃Some motivation: Thank you Laurynas Baublys and Eimantas Verenius for participating and sharing your journey with us! 🎃Technical parts on how to get better at your profession: We focused on the first steps of the sales cycle- setting and running meetings effectively. 🎃Real practice time: Role plays are very eye opening, and we actually take time to practice different sales situations with each other. 🎃Live reach session: Getting some real life sales calls done while we are together. 🎃And of course, some fun bonding time together with the team. Co working spaces are evolving! I’ve tried a lot of them but always found the same experience. Coffee and snacks are great but there was no collaboration, networking, or fun conversations. People showed up but everyone just put on their headphones and sat quietly. I went from feeling isolated at home to feeling isolated in a public environment. Another year and another round of successful national workshops complete for my Culligan sales division. In addition to our regular sales management training routines and meeting cadences, I firmly believe in the power of annual team based ‘off sites’. Whether literal with regards to location or not, stepping out of the daily work servicing our customer base allows teams to achieve several key things: ✅ a focused time to think about their jobs and how they fit into the wider context of business free from distraction. ✅ time to interact and problem solve face to face from around the country, lost in a digital world. ✅ a chance for management to table strategic initiatives and seek feedback from the frontline as a team. ✅ fun and enjoyment with their direct team mates who in a nationally diverse organisation, they don’t see often. The photo below captures our national monthly sales call, run at the end of day 1 of the internal account manager workshop, where lots of successful outcomes were shared for the month of October and 2024 YTD.
