It takes a robust #braking system to bring 80,000 lb. (36,000 kg) of moving #tractortrailer to a halt. And half of that system sits on a #trailer, about 45 feet (about 13.5 meters) behind the driver. #Trailerbrakes are sometimes neglected during the pre-trip inspection process, especially if a driver is in a hurry to hook up and hit the road. The Standard Trailer Lock – Long Handle is an industry-standard twistlock used by the trucking industry to allow flatbed trailers to accommodate ISO shipping containers. To allow maximum versatility, a triple axle trailer should have a minimum of 6 to carry either a fully loaded or empty 6 meter or 12 meter container. The addition of 2 twistlocks will allow the same trailer to carry 2 x 6m empty containers. It should be noted that 4 of the trailer locks can be replaced by 2 double trailer locks. In the event of the core being damaged, it can be replaced easily with the removal of the galvanised bolt and nut. These Standard Trailer Lock – Long Handle units are normally welded through the deck of the trailer. They have the advantage of being retractable when not in use. When in the up position, the unit acts as a guide for the container for when it is being loaded. Once the container has landed, the handle is turned for the upper section to turn and lock the container into position. A few notes on the dump truck! When a dump truck crosses a waterlogged section, it is necessary to drive for a distance with a low speed gear and gently step on the brake to eliminate the water in the brake drum. The dump truck driving in the muddy section, one is to drive steadily and slowly, the second is to choose the appropriate gear, do not use emergency braking and rapid acceleration. When the dump truck passes through the uneven road section, it should choose a lower gear if the vehicle allows it, and it should also drive at a uniform speed. When the dump truck stops, the hydraulic system of the dump truck should first be released, and then the goods will fall down, and finally the dump truck will be turned off. The dump truck should be cleaned in time after use, with warm water, not cold water, and can not start the engine during the cleaning process. Before the dump truck is driven, the tire nut should be tightened and the tire pressure should be checked. In the process of driving, the dump truck should often check the oil amount of hydraulic oil, electrolyte, brake fluid and tire pressure and temperature.
