Could I be the next England manager?... As I was polishing up my CV today, it hit me – why not aim for the stars? Or, in this case, the football pitch! I’ve mastered the art of proposals and people-management, so how hard can managing a football team be? Here's my pitch (pun intended): Strategic Planning - If I can create a flawless cleaning schedule that juggles 27 cleaners, supervisors and day janitors, I can definitely handle 11 players on the field. Motivational Skills - My pep talks to the team are legendary, they can turn a dusty desk into a gleaming masterpiece. Imagine what I could do with a changing room! Crisis Management - Spilled coffee? Handled. Overflowing bin? No problem. Red card in the 90th minute? Piece of cake. Attention to Detail - Just like my cleaning standards, I’d ensure every pass, tackle, and goal is executed to perfection. Team Spirit - We already clean up every game; it’s just time to apply that literally. The FA, if you ever need a wild-card instead of Graham Potter or Eddie Howe, you know where to find me!

Do Job Titles matter? Do you care what your Job Title is? Does it change the job you actually do? Like what is a CEO when there are less than 50 people? Am I a d$%k for calling myself one? Well, what about an Account Director? What does this person actually do? Are they Sales? Are they Client Services? Is it reasonable to ask them to be a leader and a salesperson at the same time? Well, that's what I'm calling the newest role here at The Attention Seeker. The person who applies is going to have big shoes to fill. And the job is stupidly important for us. They replace me as Business Development in Auckland and Elaine as Head of Customer Intimacy (another stupid title we made up). 1. Have I got the title right for this role? 2. Do you know someone who could do it? 3. Are they Auckland based, have enough experience to crush it and keen to work with a bunch of crazys? 4. Did I say they need to have god-tier level leadership skills? I'm still not sure it's the right title and, therefore, if it will find the right candidates. Keen to know your thoughts. Keen for you to tag people you think could do it or who might just have the job title for the role.

"Passion is just love for life, love for people, love for growth" National Director Michael Richeson explains during his Safe Haven Nation interview with National Director Michael Zuppke. "I know for me, that when I can go and be a part of teaching a manager an interview, and all of a sudden they go and they do that. And then that rep gets brought on. And all of a sudden this chain happens where we've got offices growing and success happening. Everybody benefits, right? From that ONE thing. And if we can all be unified working together, success happens all around us—and there's more happiness. I think I just try to see the good in people, and I choose to live my life in a happy state; therefore, it follows me." #SafeHavenNation #Management #HiringAndPromotion - Nationwide #sales opportunities: mysafehaven.com/careers

As we enter the holiday season ⛱ , I am sure many of you are or have been contemplating your next move in your career, or the idea of it has momentarily popped into your thoughts. 🤔 Is it because of any of the following reasons: · Personal progression: You have hit a ceiling, and you cannot go any further because the current Sales Director or MD is going nowhere anytime soon. · You have done all you can, and you want to test yourself in a new environment and surroundings · A toxic culture is forcing you to look elsewhere: The vast majority of candidates I speak with often mention this as one of the key factors to start looking elsewhere. · Your manager is setting unrealistic expectations for you and the team · Lack of investment in products and people · Acquisitions: Often, these results in redundancies or changes, which have a negative effect on those around you. I am sure there are more reasons, but those are a few that are often discussed when I have an initial screening call with candidates. If you are interested in learning about some of the great opportunities we are working on at Wilson Brook Consulting, feel free to get in touch for a confidential discussion. I always say that no call is a wasted call; whether we don’t have the right opportunity for you at this moment in time, we will certainly learn more about you, and this can lead to future contact when the right role comes along. In the meantime, I am on the hunt for: · Sales Director – B2B Distributor - based in the South, salary between £90-110k · Head of Sales – ACO Building Drainage UK & Ireland – nationwide role up to £80k · New Business Development Manager – B2B Distributor, nationwide role, up to £60k Should you like to learn more about any of the three roles above, then please book a call in my diary via the link below; this way, we can avoid voicemail tennis and have a discussion at a mutually convenient time, or just drop me a message or call. 📓 https://lnkd.in/eZetPzxw 📱 07590 374079 📧 jonny@wilsonbrook.com #Careeropportunity #newrole #assignments #recruitment #buildingproducts #buildingmaterials #distributor #sales

Hey everyone 👋 If you haven't already, give the Tamar HR page a follow to keep up to take with all of the latest legislation changes coming up, and if you have any questions, or would like to be added to our free monthly news bulletin, let me know! 🕺 💻 📜
Get to know our team! We pride ourselves on being a personable service that partners with our clients to help them achieve their goals through a trust based relationship. Therefore we thought it would be great to give you a bit of background to the team that make up Tamar HR and work so closely with all of our outstanding clients. First up, we had Danny Wright, Tamar HR's Managing Director! "I was born, and grew up in Plymouth before moving to London and then Essex when I was 22. After 10 years working in sales, it was time to move back to Plymouth and change the direction of my career. A role at Tamar HR was the new challenge and I haven’t looked back since. Three years in now; I have learnt so much, and I have enjoyed every moment whilst doing it. When Tim offered me the privilege of leading the team earlier in the year, it was an offer I couldn’t refuse. With the additions of Amelia and Emma this year, the team is growing from strength to strength, and I’m very excited to see what we can all achieve. Evenings and weekends are for time with my wife Evie and our Labrador Jake, going for long walks and cooking new recipes together. I also play football for local side Plymouth True Blues, and enjoy travelling the world when I can."

During my sales career, I awoke one day and went from managing a Manhattan sales territory to managing the whole East Coast. All of a sudden, I had airplanes to deal with and a whole host of other things that took up more of my time. Imagine, if I found it difficult doing what I had to do in Manhattan, how in the world was I going to include the whole East Coast in my time management system? As in life, this new challenge proved to be a major turning point in my success. I was forced to prioritize my tasks. I concentrated on doing my administrative tasks during non-selling hours (time spent on planes), or at least when customers were not available to meet with me. I also married my tasks to my purpose. Before doing a task, I asked myself if this task was necessary and if it was going to support my sales objective for the year. How many times do you find yourself doing things that at the end of the day are not going to support your goals or mission? Yet, it is so easy for us to fall victim to the emotions and challenges of the profession, some of which detract us from our mission. So, what’s your purpose? Are your tasks supporting your purpose? If not, then re-allocate your resources, so you wind up doing what you are paid to do. If not, you might one day wind up not justifying the investment being made for your efforts. #VelocityMindset #sales #leadership #success
