Looking for a job? Don't underestimate the power of joining a curated community. Figuring out the next chapter of your career can be painstakingly hard. Even for the most talented people. I was lucky. During my last job search, I was able to lean on an incredible peer group. They helped me figure out what I wanted, source roles, tell my story in a thoughtful way, and negotiate effectively. Having a peer group support you through any career transition is a must. It's impossible to do it alone. One of my closest friends, Simon Zhou, recently told me about NEXT Careers, a community for mid-career and executive job-seekers supporting each other to land their next startup roles. I love the approach. NEXT brings together amazing people – and provides access to VC firms, recruiters, knowledge, and the support of peers who can share opportunities and resources.
