My dad passed away. Without him, mom needed help living in that home. In 2014 I moved in with her. She didn’t want to be alone, and I’m so grateful I was able to be there for her. Not long after I moved in, mom was diagnosed with a blood infection, then stomach cancer. The next several years were hard. In 2018, she was gone. One of my mom’s final wishes was that I stay in that house, so she gave me a life estate. #HumansOverHouses https://buff.ly/49KOAJa

A couple of statistics for thought: First, 1 in 2 Americans will get some sort of cancer in their lifetime. Cancer has impacted nearly every American family in some way. My own grandfather died from cancer. Secondly, 90% of cancer cases reported today originates from their environment. Only 10% of cancers are hereditary. It's important to stay on top of your health and make plans for the worst, should it happen. I have access to plans that will pay cash directly to you upon diagnosis of cancer, heart disease, strokes, and more. It's not fun to think about these things, but being prepared can make a real difference. Get checked, make plans, and secure your risk with low-cost plans in case the worst happens. If this does happen to you, you don't want to be worrying about money, just about getting better. Day 14 of the Bearvember Movember Movement Prostate cancer has claimed many lives, from our grandfathers to our fathers. As men, it's time for us to take charge of our health and prioritize prevention. Once you reach the age of 40, it's important to start regular check-ups.
