This is what *equitable* partnership looks like. I’ve long been a fan of the work Evelynn Escobar has done with Hike Clerb Inc, and their upcoming collaboration with The North Face is the perfect example of an industry great teaming up with an impact organization to let them create on *their* terms. Many of our brand clients at Backstory Consulting come to us looking for ways they can equitably support the work of non-profits and charitable organizations. Doing so requires a special mix of thought, strategy, and intention that’s hard for most brands and companies to do on their own. 💡 We always recommend starting with:  1. Identifying 3-5 causes you can responsibly and sustainably support  2. Identifying organizations and non-profits already doing great work in that space 3. We’ve accomplished a lot at First United Church Community Ministry Society but we know there is still more to do. We’re led by a vision where everybody’s worth is celebrated, and all people thrive. We’re guided by these principles to get there through dignity, belonging, and justice. When we say dignity, we’re talking about respect, basic needs and human rights. When we talk about belonging, we’re talking about creating safer spaces where everyone feels welcome and there’s no judgement and no stigma. When talking about justice, we’re talking about systemic change and breaking the cycles of poverty. That’s what we’re trying to accomplish, and we know we do not do this work alone. We can’t do this without you. Through your faithfulness, finances, time, and support, you’re helping guide us to get to these places. And we’re led with so much hope. 🌍🚮 Our Freeways Deserve Better – Let’s Do Our Part! 🌿 It’s no secret that our freeways are getting worse—trash piling up and spaces we pass through every day being neglected. Instead of waiting for someone else to handle it, I, Azad, will be out there this Sunday to clean up because it’s the right thing to do. This isn’t about recognition—just doing my part. If we want change, sometimes we’ve got to lead by example. 📅 When: This Sunday 📍 Where: Rancho Cucamonga, Haven Ave on-ramp to the 210 Freeway ⏰ Time: 10 AM (Just 30 minutes) I’ll be there rain or shine, and if you want to join me, you’re more than welcome.
