Vietnam's Southeast Asian exports reached 3.3 billion USD, up 35.2% over the previous month. 🇻🇳 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐓𝐍𝐀𝐌 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐄 🇸🇬 GROWTH IN EXPORTS AMID DECLINING IMPORTS In September 2024, two-way trade between Vietnam and Singapore reached 2.19 billion SGD, a 6.11% decline from the previous year. Vietnam's exports to Singapore surged by 35.23% to 694.4 million SGD, while imports from Singapore fell by 17.75% to nearly 1.5 billion SGD. Singapore's exports to Vietnam decreased by 9.01%, and goods from third countries exported through Singapore also dropped by 20.84%. Overall, Vietnam faced a trade deficit of nearly 805 million SGD, but maintained a surplus of about 260.76 million SGD when considering direct trade. Key Vietnamese exports, including machinery, mobile phones, and petroleum, saw significant growth. Conversely, while some import categories like lead products grew, major imports such as machinery and petroleum declined, impacting total imports from Singapore. In the first nine months of 2024, trade between the two countries totaled nearly 23.24 billion SGD, up 6.83% year-on-year.
