TENDER OPPORTUNITY! NIAS Dynamic Resource Optimisation SBRI Challenge is officially live The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service Trust exists to improve the health and well-being of the people of Northern Ireland. NIAS apply the highest levels of knowledge and skill to preserve life, prevent deterioration and promote recovery. The Trust touches lives at times of basic human need when care and compassion are what matter most. NIAS provides high-quality emergency, urgent and primary care services throughout the whole of Northern Ireland. Dedicated, committed and highly skilled staff work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to ensure patients receive the best possible care in a timely manner. The efficiency, effectiveness and clinical outcome of NIAS service provision is heavily reliant on the deployment of resources to the population across Northern Ireland. To inform decision-making on resource deployment, NIAS currently uses a range of systems which store information on resources available to NIAS at any given time. The overall aim of this Phase I SBRI Project is to identify potential solutions to develop an affordable and effective tool to triangulate NIAS databases of information and planning tools to deliver the most effective, safe and optimised journey for patients. It is anticipated the solution/s will provide the most effective resource allocation both in terms of NIAS’s management of the resource and patient experience and that has capacity to make dynamic decisions based on the information held within NIAS databases and protocols, with the aim of introducing a dynamic rota and asset management and planning system. Any outcome must be aligned to Quintuple Aim (including patient experience, population health, reducing costs, care team well-being, and health equity). Questions regarding this competition should be emailed to sbri.pmo@hscni.net Closes: Monday 30th September 2024 at 15:00 Follow the link to etendersni.gov.uk (Tender 5528995) Business Services Organisation (BSO) Health and Social Care Northern Ireland

We all know the 6 effective components of quality in healthcare: safety, effectiveness, patient-centeredness, timeliness, efficiency, and equity. Recently, I came across a quick 2-minute video about the Triple Aim that adds another layer to how healthcare is viewed on a macro level—impacting hospital systems and even government policies. This framework brings a dynamic perspective, showcasing how achieving better care, improved population health, and reduced costs can influence the challenges faced by smaller systems and the advantages of being part of a larger network. It’s a fascinating addition to the conversation on quality in healthcare. https://lnkd.in/gY6Rdm4F

GREAT event!!! I'm excited to present; hope to see you there! Texas Association of Healthcare Facilities Management (TAHFM) CCI American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) NFPA BASIC INFORMATION: Are you tired of the typical code compliance presentation? We are too. Compliance with codes and standards is a necessary topic for the Health Care conferences, but that topic can be boring if the presenter is unable to capture the audience’s attention. with an edgy title of WHAT THE FINDING!?!?, this common code compliance topic quickly gets one’s attention and sets itself apart. In this interactive discussion, the presenters will go over real findings from recent accreditation surveys that came to us as fire protection engineering consultants. The topics include inconspicuous code sections and new interpretations that brought unexpected citations, and as a result, real frustrations. The current accreditation survey practice uses a “see it – cite it” methodology, and in that moment of frustration, a health care professional has the option to accept the observation as a finding or challenge it. Health care professionals need to respond with professionalism. Our review of the observations will allow the audience to ponder whether they agree, and while utilizing comical tips and tricks for managing one’s code rage, will navigate the audience through those real case studies. Then the presentation will engage the audience to drill down into those observations and draw conclusions on whether the observations are supported by the applicable codes and standards. Every accreditation survey cycle brings new code interpretations and hot button citations. Through WHAT THE FINDING!?!? health care professionals get their dose of codes and standards in a lighthearted, fun, and engaging way. Health care professionals having responsibilities in Administration, Assessing Risk, Compliance, Healthcare Project Management, and Maintenance & Operations all need exposure to the industry’s latest greatest survey trends. WHAT THE FINDING!?!? delivers it in a fresh and fun way!
