International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is recognised every year on 3 December. IDPD promotes the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of society and development, and helps raise awareness of the situations of persons with disabilities in all aspects from social to economic and cultural life. In recognition of IDPD, Michael Sharp, Culinary Specialist, shares his son's personal experience with Autism, Sensory-Processing difficulties, Global Delay and 16p12. 2 Deletion Syndrome. "At the age of 9, Oliver is non-verbal, which clinically describes a person who cannot use words or speech, meaning Oliver cannot express his thoughts and feelings - something in which many of us take for granted. It is really important to us all that we remember that not all disabilities are visible and not all heroes wear capes. Whilst it is a key focus of our business to drive growth and value, it is important that we remember the patients and their experiences at the other end. Keep being you, Oliver!" Watch more here: https://ow.ly/FYSH50Uj2NN Thank you Michael Sharp for sharing Oliver's story.

In support of World AIDS Day 2024 on 1 December, our colleague network, PriDA, are encouraging colleagues to 'Go Red' this December. Whether it’s wearing something as simple as a red tie or shirt, or downloading our special Teams background , it’s a simple but powerful way to show support for those impacted by the disease. Another way to 'Go Red' is to pick up a red ribbon and donate in support of World AIDS Day in person at our Chester, Nottingham and Alfreton sites using our donation boxes. The iconic red ribbon is an enduring symbol of support for anyone who has been affected by HIV and AIDS. Thank you to everyone in the network for making this available for all colleagues. ❤️ #WorldAidsDay2024
