Look at all the conflict in the world. Destroying so many lives. And now look a little closer to home…do you know anyone who responds well and knows how to deal effectively with conflict when they’re directly involved? Half of us shut down and avoid conflict like the plague. The other half of us jump in wanting to fix it, ‘let’s talk', but often come across as criticizing or judging. Each triggers the other and before we know it we’re stuck in a negative cycle, each carrying difficult feelings and not sure where to go to make things better. Nobody teaches us how to deal with these difficult emotions in relationships! Especially at work where we’re meant to be “professional” at all times. Except there is now a step-by-step roadmap designed specifically for workplace relationships, so that you have the tools and resources to navigate even the trickiest relationships, break those negative cycles and feel safe and trusting in the relationship again. And I am very excited to share that I will be running the first live training in Europe in this approach - in Dublin in January. You can make a difference - join me in January - click on the link in Comments to learn more. #EmotionalConnection #EmC #Leadership Dr. Lola Gershfeld EmC LEADERS

A central role in my work as a Conscious Leadership Coach has been the research of psychological safety in organizations and teams. And, in that research I've come to be inspired by many thought leaders including Amy Edmondson and relational psychoanalyst Jordan Dann and others who lead the way in helping co-create a safer, more attuned world. It turns out that psychological safety does not mean harmony, nor is it a license to wine or be without conflict. True psychological safety means being able to task a risk to speak up, offer differing opinions, disagree and still find belonging. We can disagree skillfully and come back to one another with an open mind and heart to continue the innovation process - the safest teams in the world disagree quite a bit, they just have a shared language and level of internal emotional confidence to handle those waves. Over the past year I've lead over 100 executives and leaders through my training on psychological safety and it's been nothing short of insightful and powerful for everyone. I can hear the exhale in the zoom room when we learn that we are responsible to people, not for them. I can also see the shoulders drop and feel the lightness as we practice new skills on how to reveal vs conceal. The energy shift from learning how to reveal is immediate and fosters connection vs distance. ❤️ Shout out to Claude Silver and the others leaders who brought me into their teams...for they knew deeply that psychological safety is the foundation for all good human connection and subsequent innovation. #consciousleadership #psychologicalsafety #responsiblity
