I'd argue that we need to consider international markets more intentionally: this means both digital work and physical migration. We released a monster three-parter blog on global demand this week, and the potential role of #jobtech platforms in responding to this need. One of them even talks about my great grandma Alice, the first woman to be admitted into the Scottish magic circle. Check 'em out: 1️⃣ In Part 1, we explore why employment interventions and jobtech platforms must tap into global demand to create meaningful jobs for Africa’s growing labour force, by looking both at digital work/outsourcing and at physical migration: https://lnkd.in/dQ5g2G2E 2️⃣ In Part 2, we’ll examine why the Jobtech Alliance’s systems change approach necessitates intervention to grow global demand for African talent: https://lnkd.in/dj2U9g28 3️⃣ In Part 3, we discuss an innovative business model for expanding demand for ICT services in Africa. And talk about Great Grandma Alice and her magician’s dilemma: https://lnkd.in/dzPzApn3
