It is International Day of Peace on 21st September. “Conflict flows from life. Rather than seeing conflict as a threat, we can understand it as providing opportunities to grow and to increase our understanding of ourselves, of others, of our social structures. Conflicts in relationships at all levels are the way life helps us to stop, assess, and take notice. One way to truly know our humanness is to recognise the gift of conflict in our lives." From the Little Book of Conflict Transformation by John Paul Lederach #peace #conflictmanagement #disputeresolution

🌍 The Power of Peacebuilding in a Divided World 🌍 In a world marked by conflict and division, peacebuilding is not just an ideal—it’s a necessity. It’s about more than just stopping violence; it's about fostering understanding, resolving disputes, and building bridges between individuals and communities. At its core, peacebuilding begins with listening. It requires us to step out of our own perspectives and understand the needs, pain, and aspirations of others. From the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) teachings, we learn that justice, empathy, and reconciliation are the foundations of lasting peace. Whether it's in families, communities, or between nations, peace isn't something we wait for—it’s something we actively create. What can we do? - Dialogue over debate. - Compassion over judgment. - Mediation over conflict. When we embrace these values, we don’t just resolve conflicts—we build a foundation for harmony that can last generations. What steps are you taking in your personal or professional life to promote peace and understanding? Let's share and inspire each other! 💬 #Peacebuilding #ConflictResolution #Mediation #Empathy #Leadership #IslamicValues #Unity #Collaboration #GlobalHarmony

As tensions escalate, it is essential to focus on our common values rather than our differences. Let us seek divine wisdom and open our hearts to the call for harmony, striving to navigate these challenging waters with compassion and respect for every tradition involved. Now, more than ever, we must prioritize the pursuit of peace over division, fostering a spirit of reconciliation in this pivotal time. Together, we can build bridges of understanding and create a brighter future for all.

The flow of information and propensity for curiosity are crucial in shaping our social and personal relationships. I have been considering how this relates to peace, and I want to explore how I think this flow can lead us down two vastly different paths: The Path to Peace Information → Understanding Understanding → Tolerance Tolerance → Peace When we seek out and share information, we gain understanding. This understanding fosters tolerance for different perspectives and ways of life. Tolerance ultimately paves the way for peaceful coexistence. The Path to Conflict Isolation → Misunderstanding Misunderstanding → Friction Friction → Conflict Conflict → War Conversely, when we isolate ourselves or limit our exposure to diverse information, misunderstandings arise. These misunderstandings create friction among individuals and groups that can escalate into conflict and, in worst-case scenarios, war. The choice is ours. By actively seeking information, promoting understanding, and cultivating tolerance, we can all contribute to a more peaceful world. What steps are you taking to broaden your understanding today? #Peace #Understanding #GlobalCommunity #Tolerance

Marcel Arsenault, President of PAX sapiens, shares his insights on the link between the flow of information and the promotion of peace. His perspective highlights how transparent, open communication can foster understanding and reduce conflict. "By actively seeking information, promoting understanding, and cultivating tolerance, we can all contribute to a more peaceful world. " Ultimately, the pathway toward a peaceful world requires commitment, resilience, cooperation, and long-term vision. While these steps are just a starting point, each one offers a way to contribute to building a more peaceful world. Are there any steps or actions you would add to the list? #peace #longterm #peaceandsecurity

When observed closely, our logo would appear to be dandelions that look like the letters CPP which stand for the Centre for Peace Praxis. It would make one curious about why something as fragile as dandelions would be used for the logo, and rightfully so. Peace has forever been very fragile, and history has hardly seen peace as sustainable. However, many are unaware that despite seeming fragile, dandelions symbolize hope, healing and resilience. We, at the Centre for Peace Praxis, aim to bring about change in the outlook of individual when faced with conflict. #peace #centreforpeace #peacebuilding #christuniversity #centreforpeacepraxis

My latest article, "Concluding Conflict: Why Ending War is Never an Easy Strategy," examines why it is increasingly harder to end the growing number of conflicts the United States finds ourselves part of. The article examines how these impediments do not just occur once a conflict begins but are heavily influenced by actions or in actions left of bang. Central to my argument is the importance of defining objectives early and reassess them continually. https://lnkd.in/erZGNw5r As always I am happy to discuss or debate any points or positions of anything I publicly publish. #stratergy #warandpeace #theoryofvictory #victorydisease
