We instantly clicked over shared interests, and when she hosted an AI workshop, I knew I had to attend. Her knowledge and passion for AI’s potential to transform the way we can enhance our businesses blew me away, and it was during that workshop that we really began to explore how we could collaborate on empowering others. What I didn’t know then was that Maureen would become a key connector in the next chapter of this journey. She introduced me to Ms. Mesha R. 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 👀 Last week, I had the opportunity to organise two distinct events. Each offered its own experiences and insights. The first event, organized with Regina Overchyk, was kept intimate to foster deep connections among attendees. The second event, organised with BlackInTech Berlin and supported by Vera Kämpfer and the #ImpactHub, had fewer attendees than expected despite careful planning. As an organizer, it's common to anticipate a large crowd and feel disappointment when the turnout doesn't meet expectations. 😥 However, these moments reveal the true essence of the event. It's not about the numbers, but the quality of interactions and shared experiences! What struck me were the heartfelt messages received after the event. Attendees expressed joy and gratitude for the experience, reminding me that organizers' (or founders) perceptions and expectations often differ significantly from those of attendees (or customers). These experiences underscored a fundamental truth: 👉 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲: Numbers may seem indicative of success, but the depth of connection and individual impact truly matter. 👉 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐲 : Feedback serves as a compass for future endeavors, highlighting strengths and opportunities for growth. 👉 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲: Each event and attendee brings a unique perspective and set of expectations. This diversity enriches the experience for everyone. 👉 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Real connections are forged through authenticity and empathy, not through fancy setups. #Conferences have such a transformative power and this is one of the major reasons why the CIGen team keeps attending both offline and online events. #TuringFest left an imprint on Anna and Kristina, and here’s what impressed each of them: Anna Vuhliar 🇺🇦 shares her opinion after watching “Surviving Black Swans: How To Build Resilient Structures & Navigate Unpredictable Events” by Gopika M.: “Despite constant ups and downs, the economy’s general trajectory is growth. The secret lies in predicting "white swan events"—those significant, foreseeable events. How? By using extrapolation to make educated guesses from known data. I'm naturally 100% on when I'm on and 100% off when I'm off - and working for a few hours here and there for 6 days isn't as satisfying as working full power for a few days then taking a few days off. 🤝 In person matters - it's so important for building meaningful relationships. But it's time-consuming - so it shouldn't *always* be prioritised. 🎉 The secret to a successful event is simple: make it easy for people to meet interesting people with *specific* shared interests (think: shared interests you can't discuss with your friends/coworkers/absolutely anyone in tech). While I wasn't Live from NYC... This was my 3rd year attending #ZetaLive virtually since I started at Zeta Global & yet again- Zeta Live 2024 was an unforgettable event. I've been to many events and conferences... some great, some not so great (just being honest) - but they all have a similar feeling. I can confidently say that nothing has compared to Zeta Live. While keynote speakers, agenda, marketing promotions, giveaways, etc. are all important aspects...They aren't what keep you thinking about the event months after... Zeta Live is more than an event, it's an experience that you walk away from wishing you had more of - an unforgettable day filled with genuine people, real discussions, and authentic collaborations that leaves you with lasting memories. The time, effort, (no blood was shed, as far as I know 😂) sweat, and tears that went into this event by everyone involved at Zeta is phenomenal and did not go unnoticed. When I was asked to be the Emcee for The Speech Lab 101: Chapter One, I hesitated. Though it would have by no means be my first experience as one, it would be the first time on such a large scale before an audience of 130+ and well-known experienced public speakers. I didn’t think that I would be up to the task; surely a more experienced Emcee would be a better option. Yet, deep inside, I knew that the answer was ‘yes’, still I couldn’t say it outright. I was still held back by these doubts. 𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦. 𝘉𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘰𝘶𝘴! Finally, I accepted the offer. After all, it would have been ironic had I not done so as the title of the event was: 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐔𝐩: 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝! So, I took up the challenge, and I’m glad I did so as it was such a great experience which turned into a wholesome and encouraging event.
