AKM7735-EQ Audio codec Playback with ESP32 TTGO using SD Card =============================================== Ok, I finally wrote the Device driver for AK7735 for ESP-32. For this I used ESP32 TTGO board which has SDCard slot using which I am playing the Audio WAV files, 16-bit, stereo, 48kHz. The SDCard is interfaced with ESP-32 WROOM using SPI lines, so I did not have to interface any external SDCard module, and was able to MOUNT & READ Audio data of the WAV files stored in MicroSD card using SPI over DMA. The Driver that I have written uses I2C for configuring the Audio paths, CLK reset, DSP reset, CODEC reset, CLK configurations, DSP Program is downloaded to PRAM & CRAM for DSP1 & DSP2. The best part about this AK7735 is it has TWO internal DSPs, and FOUR I2S channels with seperate LRCK, BCLK lines and TWO ADCs and TWO DAC channels, thus you can have 4 Audio playbacks, A1OUTL, A1OUTR, A2OUTL & A2OUTR, for DAC1 & DAC2 ... Here in this Demo I have used only DAC1 output. SDOUT from ESP-32 is SDIN to AK7735 which is input to SRC1 block with CLock synced to LRCK1, BCLK1. The SRC1 output is input to DAC1 and DAC1 analog output is fed to TPA3118 AMP from TI which is fed to Speaker driver. It works ...!! #esp32 #Audio #AK7735 #AsahiKaseiMicrodevices

MaxxAudio(in nuvoton) is the best I've used at the single-chip level for bass boost listening experience. TI,ADI, Cirrus Logic, and DTS really fall short when it comes to low-frequency performance. Especially in specifications below 5W speakers. However, the high-frequency details of MaxxAudio are relatively lacking. It's a minor flaw. #MaxxAudio
