Unimacts Global, LLC, a ZETWERK Company, and Nextracker Inc., a global leader in solar tracker and software solutions are pleased to announce the opening of a new 160,000 sq. ft. factory in Sloan, Nevada. This is the second Nextracker-dedicated manufacturing line that Unimacts has opened in the past year, reiterating our commitment to re-shore manufacturing and meet the growing demand for solar and renewable energy.
Key Highlights:
The new Sloan facility produces steel torque tubes for solar panels.
The two factories will support over 2 GW of new solar power annually, powering 400,000 U.S. homes.
Nextracker has opened or expanded 20+ U.S. manufacturing facilities since 2021, with new/expanded lines in TX, AZ, PA, IL, TN, and NV.
Speaking on the occasion, Daniel Shugar, CEO of Nextracker noted, “American manufacturing is the heartbeat of the clean energy revolution. With a terrific workforce, a localized clean steel industry, and strong renewable energy demand, we’re scaling up rapidly.”
Alan Hays, CEO of Unimacts, added, “Federal incentives allow us to confidently invest in U.S. manufacturing, creating jobs and boosting the local economy. Partnering with Nextracker, we’re proud to expand our footprint and capacity.”
The attendees at the dedication event in Sloan included Dwayne McClinton (Nevada Governor's Office of Energy), Whitney Muse (The White House), Ryan Galeria (Copia Power), Jason Grumet (American Clean Power Association (ACP)), Richard McMahon (Edison Electric Institute), and @Asheesh B.
