At Ponce Bank, the safety of our community is a top priority. We want to ensure that all of our customers and community members are keeping safe. That's why we have launched Safe Keepin', a blog designed to help our neighbors learn more about common online scams that pose a risk to personal security, identity, and finances. When people know what to look out for, they are less likely to become victims of fraud. Check it out and share it within your networks, and let's all do our part to keep each other safe. https://lnkd.in/eZjf3r9n

We're less than a month from the CZ & SK Fraud Summit 2024 ❕ Fraud fighters from all banks operating in Czech Republic and Slovakia will attend this big conference with one goal - to be stronger together against cyber criminals. Even though this is the first public announcement, the Summit is already sold out. The excitement is huge, expectations are high (many call it a highlight of the year), so my nervousness, as organizer and moderator, is rising. But I expect this to be the best conference I've done with ThreatMark at my back. We will have speakers from Czech Republic, Slovakia and UK. Senior representatives from the biggest banks, police and psychologists will give their unique presentations created just for this conference. All the attendees will be leaving equipped with tons of inspiration, know-how, notes, or connections. And we're sending fraudsters clear message: we're united as one and we are fighting harder and stronger than ever before. April 11 and 12, 2024 - it's going to be big!

Could you get your money back from the bank if… ...you fell for an online fraud or scam? Online scams and frauds are rampant. Imagine being reimbursed up to £415,000 ($525,000) if you fell victim to online fraud. 🌐💔💷 This isn't just hypothetical. In the UK, new rules are setting a precedent that could change the landscape for fraud victims globally. As these financial threats escalate, the need for regulations grows. But what about the human element? 🤔 The irony is clear: The more we invest in technology for security, the less we focus on empowering people, leading to even stricter regulations. It's a cycle that begs the question: How can financial institutions foster a new level of security awareness among their customers? How do we build "emotional firewalls" to shield ourselves from online fraud? I'll be diving deep into this topic next week in my upcoming LinkedIn Live, specifically tailored for financial institutions and their customers. 🏦❤️🔒 If you're curious about creating a safer digital environment and building resilience against social engineering, this session is for you. Know someone in the banking sector or interested in cyber resilience? Tag them below so I can invite them! Let's prepare for a future where security is as much about emotion and awareness as it is about technology. 👇 Check out the link to the new UK regulations on online fraud victims in the comments below and join me later today for insights that could safeguard your financial wellbeing in the digital realm. #OnlineFraud #CyberResilience #FinancialInstitutions #EmotionalFirewalls #SecurityAwareness #UKRegulations #BankingSector #DigitalSafety #FraudPrevention ----------------------------------------------- ♻ Please share for those who find this valuable. 🔔 Follow me for daily emotional resilience insights. 📨 Connect with me on LinkedIn

🚨 $2.9 Billion Lost to Real Estate Scams in 2023—Here’s How to Protect Yourself 🚨 The FBI has reported a staggering $2.9 billion stolen in real estate scams last year through a scheme known as Business Email Compromise (BEC). These scams involved over 21,500 cases, and the numbers are only rising in 2024. Here’s how it works: • Hackers gain access to email accounts. • They send fraudulent wire instructions to buyers or renters. • Victims unknowingly send deposits to the scammer’s account—most never see their money again. How to protect yourself: ✅ Always verify wire instructions directly with your agent or attorney. ✅ Watch for slight email misspellings or unexpected changes in wire details. ✅ Call to confirm any changes—don’t rely solely on emails. This is a serious reminder for anyone in real estate—buyers, renters, and professionals alike. Share this post to spread awareness and help others stay safe from these devastating scams. #RealEstateFraud #WireScam #BECFraud #FBIWarning #RealEstateSafety #HomeBuyingTips #ProtectYourMoney #CyberSecurity #RealEstateInvesting #News
