"The Grand Gesture" at a Workplace ! Also referred to as a treat you give yourself in order to push you to complete your tasks. Grand gestures can be as simple as switching your workplace from the office to a coffee shop .. JK Rowling booked a suite in Balmoral when she was falling short of ideas to complete "Deathly Hallows 7" . Dan Pink and a host of writers apply this strategy when they are looking for ideas… Psychologists say that treating yourself with these grand gestures typically help you refocus and make you liable for your tasks . So if you feel stuck in a task that’s taking up too much time , treating yourself to a grand gesture might just help to Ctrl+Alt+Delight your senses :-) #FutureOfWork #HumorResourcesTech #GauravOnTheGo

OVER WORKED EMPLOYEES IN CORPORATE AMERICA As a board certified physician and a board certified reflexologist, I am appalled by an article in today’s Wall Street Journal suggesting that some Bank Of America employees were so overworked, that it may have contributed to illness and even death in one employee. I have been suggesting to corporate America that reflexology and similar services could and should be offered to employees to help ease stress and anxiety effects of overwork and workplace tension. To date my message has fallen on deaf ears. Today’s article emphasizes the need for access for employees to reflexology and similar destressing modalities to ease this significant problem. Is anyone in corporate America listening???

When working with couples, I often hear: “We’ve tried talk therapy before, but it didn’t resolve our issues. What’s wrong with us? Why isn’t this working the way we hoped?” Let me reassure you—there’s nothing wrong with you. One of the main reasons traditional talk therapy can feel ineffective is that it often overlooks nonverbal patterns of communication. These are the subtle, subconscious signals we send and receive through body language. For example: A relaxed, open posture naturally conveys safety and confidence. In contrast, hunched shoulders or crossed arms might signal discomfort or defensiveness. These nonverbal cues can create misunderstandings even before a word is spoken. The good news? You can learn to decode and shift these patterns to foster deeper connection and understanding. If you and your partner feel stuck, it might be time to explore a different approach. Movement and somatic-based work can help you tap into the unspoken dynamics in your relationship. Curious if this could be the right fit for you and your partner? I’m offering free consultations—let’s talk. 🌱 Sign up for a free consultation today! https://smpl.is/9v4fa . . . #relationshiptherapy #nonverbalcommunication #coupleswork #somatictherapy #therapistlife #movementtherapy #couplegoals #healthyrelationships #embodiedlife

More than 1 in 9 Americans have hearing loss in both ears. Yet, many adults wait years or even decades to act on their hearing loss — if they ever do.
