Why DPI Matters in Print Quality DPI measures the resolution of a printed image by counting the number of individual dots of ink per inch. For the best print quality, ensure your images are at least 300 DPI. This ensures sharp and clear prints, making your visuals stand out. #PrintGlossaryGems #DPI #PrintResolution

DPI (Dots Per Inch) is a measurement of print resolution that indicates the number of individual dots that can be placed within an inch of a linear space. Ever wonder why some printed materials look crystal clear while others seem a bit blurry? The secret's in the DPI! 🎨 The higher the DPI, the sharper and more detailed your print will be. So next time you're prepping something for print, remember: a higher DPI means crisper images and text, ensuring your materials always look their best!

How today was supposed to go.... Print prototype cards. Cut them out in front of tv. How it's actually going... Printer won't print in colour from proper file. Printer won't print multiple items to a page in the place it does want to print in colour. Need to install new operating system, but have to do back up first. Back up starts, but then says the disk is full. Delete things from disk to make room. It doesn't seem to recognise it has more room now. Give up for now on that one. Create a whole new document to be able to print multipage in colour. Printed a page... font is too small. Edit original files. Recreate new multipage document. Print test page... font is still a bit small but can I face doing it again? Argh!!! Anyone else having a Monday from hell? #solopreneur #carddeckprototype #deckadventure #theideaslady

Always wondered what bleed and safe zones are? 🖨️ Well, bleed is where any colour or image that runs to the edge of a page, extends past the cut line. The reason for a bleed is to ensure there is no gap between the background colour or image at the edge of the page. 🖨️ A safe zone is also quite important because there is often a slight shift when cutting an item, it avoids any key text or image accidentally being trimmed off or removed. Understanding DPI: The Key to Crisp Printouts Ever wondered why some prints look sharp and vibrant while others appear pixelated? 🤔 It all comes down to DPI (Dots Per Inch) 🎉 DPI is a measure of image resolution, determining how many dots of ink are printed per inch. A higher DPI generally means a sharper, more detailed image. Key considerations for DPI: ✅ Print size: Larger prints require higher DPI to avoid visible pixelation. ✅ Viewing distance: Closer viewing distances demand higher DPI for optimal clarity. ✅ Content type: Images with fine details (e.g., photos) benefit from higher DPI. #printdesign #graphicdesign #DPI #printquality #designtips #technology
